As part of Quantico’s Advanced Copywriting Programme, I attended their introductory courses on Copywriting, Digital & Content Marketing, Branded & Corporate Storytelling, and Arts Communication. There are many resources on how to write better, and for me at least, trying to decide the ‘right’ way to draft something for a specific channel can get overwhelming at times. What I appreciated about each Quantico course was that a good part of each workshop was dedicated to helping us understand the ‘why’ behind each technique, and how it could be used in our organisations. With small group sizes for online workshops, it was also interesting to see how the frameworks could be customised and extended to different industries, and for different goals. Although the introductory courses run for two days, the instructors recognise that learning takes time and continue to offer their support and expertise even after the workshop. I’m particularly grateful to Deepa who has been generous with her time and feedback. Rather than offering one solution, she takes time to listen and unhurriedly helps me to see different options. This, in a lot of ways, is similar to how they approach their workshops: understanding different needs, and guiding participants to finding and using tools in a way that best suits them.

The copywriting course conducted by Deepa was in-depth, practical and most importantly engaging. Even though it was conducted online, there were plenty of hands-on activities allowing participants to apply the principles of copywriting to possible write-ups useful across different platforms. The feedback and practical advice given has also been incredibly insightful.
