โ โ โ โ โ Usually enjoy shopping at Scoop but was unnerved by the sounds of Christian music coming in from the sound system. I was there on Saturday July 31 about noon.
Religious music should not be played esp when Singapore is a secular country. Is scoop trying to push one religion over others? Is that even allowed?
Thank you.
Impressed by their rapid response. Have changed rating. But I'll head back to check - if i hear religious music again, I'll be adjusting the review again.

โ โ โ โ โ My family and I love their pasta and tea selection and the usual warm service. Weโve been huge supporters of the other outlets but have never encountered such cold and unwelcoming service until we went to the Paragon outlet.
Staff kept following us around the store without a single word and would keep glancing over at us. After following us through the isles, the staff member finally spoken in a cold, snappy manner.
Overall, love the idea of reducing waste but hate the service here would gladly patronise other brands instead.

โ โ โ โ โ been here multiple times (have not gone to other outlets so iโm not sure if thereโs a difference) but many of their products in their clear containers are stale depending on your luck on how long theyโve been there, such as their almonds. maybe they should try having more airtight containers? recommended for products that canโt go stale, like their peanut butter, which i do enjoy.

โ โ โ โ โ We have been regular customers at multiple scoop outlets and have always had a pleasant shopping experience, but the paragon branch was clearly disappointing.
1. Illogical rule enforcement requiring wearing adult sized gloves for babies entering the store. We do agree that customers entering the store should wear gloves. But for babies strapped into prams not handling the merchandise, and clearly unable to wear / keep the gloves on, insistence on this rule contributed to unnecessary waste. Eventually we decided that it wasn't worth fighting over, so we took the pair of gloves for our baby and ended up throwing it away unused upon leaving. We've never had problems entering other scoop outlets on this issue, but at this outlet we have.
2. Staff dispensed less than mentioned amount of kombucha. This part was extremely frustrating as we had to tell the service staff repeatedly 3 times that the liquid in the Pyrex measuring cup wasn't up to the mark. The first time it dispensed, it was a good 50ml short. And even after all that, it was still less than the amount we paid for! We're not trying to be difficult here, not trying to ask for extras here, but just want to get the agreed upon amount for what we paid for. Additionally, the staff spilled some of it while pouring and did not bother to replenish.

โ โ โ โ โ Hi Scoops! I love the great shopping experience in your outlets.
If I may, I will like to add my personal take with reference to an earlier comment made here of Scoops in 'playing religious music in a secular society in Sg'.
A secular society in Sg doesn't curtail the practice of religious freedom even in the public or commercial space. In fact, we should also be aware that we are a multi religious society and instances of songs, decorations, shops with religious overtones and religious rituals from funerals to weddings and others are often conducted, displayed and within earshot in our common shared spaces in Singapore. Religious tolerance and appreciation is often promoted by our nation's leaders and not choosing intimidation and being quick to judge others for the practises of how their individual beliefs and values may present itself in these common public spaces.
Whether Scoops so decided to play some form of religious music or not, it will be a shame if the group or individual attempts to gaslight or intimidate by its own means to change Scoops expressed identity as it had so chooses to position itself in that space it belongs to. Furthermore, there's no way to please everyone in the mall who came with different varied expectations and backgrounds. Just as there are those who disapprove religious music, there will be others who's shopping experience will be enhanced by its sensory stimulation in that moment and space.
Thanks for bringing Scoops to Sg! My friends and I were delighted by how you guys add variety to our uniquely Singapore shopping experience (:

โ โ โ โ โ Bring your own jar/bottle if you are looking to get kombucha! If not, they charged for their glass jars, with the smallest jar (250ml) costing $1.

โ โ โ โ โ It was my first visit to Scoop and the staff were prompt and patient in explaining how the โscoopingโ process works here. Shoutout to Carmen who was manning the cashier for her knowledge and enthusiasm in recommending a kombucha flavour that best suits my preferences.
