A cool house for fostering the high level orchids in equatorial zone. Its ecological environment is tremendously educational.
"The Sembcorp Cool House emulates habitats in high elevation montane forests. These forests can be found at altitudes of between 1,000 and 2,000 m. They are one of the most threatened ecosystems in the world as a result of climate change and human activities.
Showcased there is a rich diversity of plants found in montane forests of different regions around the world." (NParksSG)

โ โ โ โ โ The newest addition to my beloved Singapore Botanic Gardens. It is basically an air-conditioned greenhouse to grow orchids found on high altitudes. All the orchids and plants found here are meticulously cared for and they looked stunningly beautiful! Mosses are placed everywhere to mimic the natural environment. Mists is sprayed every 30 seconds to create a moist and humid environment, perfect for orchid growth! There is also a small water feature inside the cool house that makes a perfect photo spot! Highly recommended to all who visit Singapore Botanic Gardens! ??

โ โ โ โ โ Love this place. Like a mini cloud forest/flower dome. A lot of different species of orchids can be found here. Spent 45 mins just walking around and taking photos.
Worth the admission price and time to come
to the Orchid Garden again.

โ โ โ โ โ So beautiful!!! A great place to enjoy the orchids. Located inside the orchid garden, the concept is a bit similar to the cloud dome, but with so many kinds of beautiful orchids. I spent more than one hours here

โ โ โ โ โ Feels like a mini version of the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay with only orchids. Very pleasant space and the flowers are well curated. Nice new addition to the Orchid Garden!

โ โ โ โ โ Amazing place, a must visit beside Gardens By The Bay. It actually feels less man made than Gardens By The Bay. Rather low traffic on a Saturday, plus the entry price is very affordable, $5 for adults and $1 for seniors! I hope they continue to maintain at this tip top condition. Very well curated array of orchids!

โ โ โ โ โ This place is gem. Quietly hidden in the National Orchid Garden. The variety of flowers just astounds me. A major plus point is that this is aircon. The landscape is amazingly. The flowers are quite unique. The other โsupportingโ plants were well curated. Iโm sure this place will be a big hit for people who visit Botanic Garden.

โ โ โ โ โ Awesome section of the National Orchid Garden of Botanic Garden. It houses a collection of large variety of orchids in the environment of high altitudes forest (1000 to 2000m). Beautiful arranged flowers, ponds, running waters and air-conditioned room.
The orchids are stunning and unusual. The walkways winds through plant displays and running water/pond.
It's tucked away in the back corner, but you should not missed it - especially on a hot day as the air-con is nice!
