โ โ โ โ โ Terrible. Today went back to eat my favourite lor mee here. Aiyo.... Standard dropped tremendously. Goodbye, this is the last I'm returning.

โ โ โ โ โ Standard has been maintained high, prices have hiked since chef uncle has been mentoring the youngsters now running the stall. He used to be the chef himself, with bigger portions and longer queues. Inflation has insidiously crept up, but we could not find an alternative with similar quality, even at Tiong Bahru market.

โ โ โ โ โ Have been eating this Lor Mee since young. Standard slightly dropped as not the original owner selling. But still one of my favourite Lor Mee.

โ โ โ โ โ This lor mee stall has moved numerous places and their standard also fluctuations as they moved... This time it is pretty close to the old flavour but the fried fritters that used to comes with the lor mee is no longer there hence it lacks texture when eating it. Worth to give them one more chance and try.

โ โ โ โ โ The lor gravy has slight herbal flavour, all meat ingredients packed full of texture and taste. The garnishes of minced garlic, chilli padi, coriander, vinegar are optional but i always spam a lot of these.

โ โ โ โ โ I wonโt say it is the best lor mee I have tried so far. However the taste is quite nostalgia with enough vinegar and chili paste. Usual ingredients like fried fish, ngo hiang, egg and braised meat. You must add more garlic so can brings the old flavour. The broth is thick and the position is large for 2 pax.

โ โ โ โ โ Finally got to try this lor mee (the super long queue has always put me off), and I gotta say I get the hype, at last! The flavours are amazing - savory and spicy (it doesn't hit you from the onset but rather sets in gradually a little while later) with a lingering tinge of vinegar. Really quite a complex and tasty amalgamation. ? And the sides are yummy too, especially the fried meatballs (love them!). ?

โ โ โ โ โ What really stood out for me when I took my first mouthful of this lor mee was that the lor zup was piping hot. Since Sep 2021 to May 2022, I have tried lor mee from 9 stalls but this was the first that provoked me into recalling the temperature of the lor zup from other stalls.
There's no herbal undertones for this lor mee. Most of the supporting ingredients for the lor mee are fried and they seem to share a common filling (sliced carrots with meat).
Overall, I found it quite satisfying but was a little puzzled by their lack of braised eggs, which is quite common at other stalls.
