It is not known who was buried there, even though there s a sign that said it s the shrine of Sharifah Rogayah, who was the grand daughter of Habib Noh (a pious Muslim) It was said that the place was once a cemetery surrounded by a Kampung or village. There was an attempt to exhume n relocate the cemetery but strange landslide occurred. Hence, the villagers believe a divine power is protecting this particular burial. The villages then converted it into a shrine. And it's maintained till today.

Interesting find this which adds to how surreal a walk in Duxton Plains Park feels in the heart of town. That and the brood of free range chickens perching on he trees and the cannonball trees beside the Hindu temple
