Like their Tau Sa Piah but went there on Sunday twice this August month and the shop wasn't open for business. Hope the shop owner could put up poster on the front gate on the Business Operation Date and Time. Thanking you in advance.

Sad. Took a chance and travelled here, reached at 1130am today and it’s really not open. Could hear the telephone in there ringing non stop and no one’s picking up. Seems like it’s really not opening this year. Their δΊ”δ»ζœˆι₯Ό is the best I’ve had.

Every year lunar seventh month day of 8th will open their door until lunar mooncake festival eve (half day). Variety of mooncake is the same every year, most favourable is the tau sar piah (salted, sweet, yam, coffee, chocolate, etc). The nearer the festival is getting by, the price increase to $2.50 (6 days b4 festival) for one tau sar piah else is as low as $2.20 (8-14 days b4 festival) or $1.80 (3-4weeks b4 festival during the ghost month period). Each week the price increases same goes as their mooncakes. A yearly event to visit this shop if you like their tau sar piah & mooncake to quench your temptation (don't forget the small little baking paper) and lastly Cash payment only. They can wait for you to withdraw cash no worry.

Skip the seasonal mooncakes and just stick with their usual pastries which are yummier. Also, be careful about going crazy picking everything that looks good without checking prices first. Thinking the place was so popular and pastries traditionally displayed (prices were displayed separately as a list in Chinese on a pillar) we got a shock at the cashier finding out the small pastries cost $2.50 each! $$$$$$

οΌ»UPDATEοΌ½ On 4 Sep 2019, the shop was still closed. Moreover, it also failed to deliver Tau Ear Piah to neighborhood provisional store. Very unusual.οΌ»οΌ½You can only visit Soo Teck Lim (η΄ η«Ήζž—su zhu lin) about 3-4 weeks before Chinese Moon Festival which always falls on 15th moon day of 8th Chinese Lunar Calendar. In 2018, Chinese Moon Festival is on 24 September. After this date, the shop will be closed for 11 months. Hence, do plan your visit one year ahead. My favourite is the salty Tau Sar Piah (豆沙ι₯Ό green bean pastry) which is more fragrant than the sweet ones. One small piece costs S$2.20 (in 2018) which is very expensive but worth it.

bumped onto this without knowing it’s so famously popular . was shocked to pay $25 for 10 pieces of tau sah piah (as i didn’t ask the price ) . the pastry was indeed good but a bit too ex for this . don’t think i will buy this again though it is good . there are other comparatively good one that doesn’t cost that much .

Highly-raved moon cakes that open only once a year for a month! They are located opposite kovan OCBC bank branch, near to the bowling centre, a short walk past the Kovan Market. Try them and see for yourself. ***They only accept cash and do not accept pre-orders!!***

Old school confectionery that only open once a year for a month. Various versions of traditional piahs. Try the pineapple and salted Tau Sar. Thick crust, heavenly pastry that is a little over browned, but tasted great!
