My sister-in-law is one of the kindest person I know and is an amazing cook. She's opening her food stall selling 5 types of noodles as of today. Blk 233 Lorong 8 Toa Payoh Coffeeshop #01-268 Singapore 310233 (inside Soon Huat Food Centre).

The coffee used to be good but after renovated it taste like cheap coffee powder all the time. The coffeeshop also hired some new auntie that are rude. I finish my noodle, went to buy kopi and sit down scrolling my phone. She come and collect and noodle and said: I help you ah (not in a very nice tone). I stun and said: huh, then she proceeded to say: I help you ah, but next time you must bring the tray to the tray station. But I’m not leaving yet, so i told her: thats because I’m not leaving yet, i will bring it there when I leave. If she wants to keep the tray while I’m still there, then don't say so much. If she wants me to bring it myself then wait for me to leave la. But she made it sounds like she is helping me a huge favor. I feel like with the new policy, these auntie become entitled. Its not like I don’t want to help but don’t abuse it. You want to be easier at your job, ok we help. But don’t ruined our meal time. I missed the old nice aunties. I don’t like there anymore even though now is nice and clean.

Coffee price remained the same after renovation, but the taste suck. Drinking here for more than 30 years, sad that the new owner decided to supply lousy coffee powder.

As a consumer, I boycott this coffeeshop. According to ASIAONE news: More than half of stallholders at Toa Payoh kopitiam pull out after rent doubles Stallholders were told they have to purchase basic cooking ingredients such as rice, sugar and oil from the management's designated suppliers. There are many coffeeshops and hawker stalls to choose from Singapore. Our Govt should build MORE hawker centres with affordable rentals so that it is a Win Win for hawkers and consumers.
