I was referred to this school by sgdrivinginstructors.com. My instructor (manual) was initially Mr Ang. He's patient and detailed. However, Mr Tan (founder) took over when I had to enter Circuit as the car's registered under Mr Tan so only he can bring students inside Circuit. Mr Tan took over more lessons from here on. Sometimes, he forgot that I've booked slots so I had to go home upon reaching. For one of the lessons, he only let me to practise clutch control forward and backward for 1.5 hours while replying messages and calls. Huge waste of time and money. He bragged that his teaching's superb and worth more than $200, while he criticised that my driving's as though I was at my 3rd lesson. However, he still left the car and let me do parallel parking by myself while he talked on the phone somewhere else. Whenever I asked him questions (especially in the Circuit) , he told me to keep quiet. Mr Tan is also very violent. He slapped my hand for me to change gear, and very frantic on the road. He even held a metal rod (in a gangster manner) and shouted "If you don't press the accelerator, I will press for you!!"... He also shouted "Where are your eyes? Your eyes grow at where?"... Instructors under Mr Tan are all very afraid of him and told me not to badmouth Mr Tan in the car due to the in-car camera which Mr Tan might check. Mr Tan told me to pay extra $10 to choose test date timing, in which I did. When I wanted to choose my test date timing, he scolded me for being a troublesome student and said that he could simply refund my $10 to save all the efforts. After failing my TP, I switched to a private instructor outside and my learning journey instantly became much more enjoyable. No one should suffer the mental stress that I endured. Only stayed on initially because of Mr Ang...

Don't be fooled! This driving school is the worst you could possibly find in Singapore, the real company has bad ratings and they have switched to a new site called sgdrivinginstructors.com. They are not professional, the communication is extremely poor.

Garbage school. Thrash, rude, cocky and incompetent bosses & instructors. Unprofessional, engage at your own risk. Boss shouts over the phone and acts unprofessionally, tried to cover up after by blocking my number, WhatsApp and even tried blocking my Facebook account entirely. Instructor falling asleep and snoring loudly during a lesson. ENGAGE AT YOUR OWN WILL.

It’s very late to see these reviews. I registered with 3rd party company which I didn’t know initially until my first lesson. My instructor is senior person, age around 72 years old. He is quite friendly but his English is just OK. He asked me to add his name behind when I book for 2nd lesson which I have to pay extra $6 during my 1st lesson. That’s contradicted what I was told from 3rd party company. They will provide me the English speaking instructor and the instructor cannot be changed once assigned. I explained to my instructor but I don’t think he fully understand. Anyway I didn’t put his name when I book for 2nd lesson. He was really unhappy about it and keep telling me to include his name. I’m so tired of looking for instructor and I just want to finished my lessons and get my driving license asap. So when I booked for 3rd time, I put his name and paid extra $6. BTW, the registration fees is $175 which is 2 times higher than the market rate. I tried to understand his English when he was teaching me at Eunos car park for reversing and parallel parking. The problem started when we were driving on the road. He hasn’t taught me anything yet he scolded me for doing wrongly. His response is very slow and I do not understand when he asked me to stop, accelerate or slow down. He dozed off a few times at the traffic light as well. I realised that I am taking a risk if I keep going on with that instructor. So I decided to contact to Mr Tan who is arranging for the booking. However he didn’t take any responsibility and blocked me instead. I was really angry and contacted to Mr Sean from 3rd party company. He told me that everyone is ok with their instructors except me. If I want the proper English speaking instructor, he asked me to go to CDC school. It’s really shocking to hear like that. How irresponsible person they are! Please do not engage with this Soon Tien driving Center as they are good for nothing!

My experience with the first two instructors β€” Mr Ang and Mr Pang were great, they were patient and taught almost everything you need to know in less than 5 lessons. However, when I started circuit lessons I got assigned to Mr Tan. Firstly, he resorts to hitting you whenever you are about to make a mistake. He also has a really bad temper and expects you to understand his gibberish Chinese if not he will start shouting at you and imply that you are just stupid. Just avoid this school, Mr Tan is super impatient and definitely not the most ideal driving instructor. Had to change to a different instructor even though I was already going to take my TP test.

Seriously horrible customer service with 0 understanding. I don't understand how can anyone ever just call up their students to scream at them in the middle of the night over a small question like "can i change my lesson timing tomorrow?" sincerely just wanted to know if it was possible to change my lesson timings, but Mr Tan just transferred back the "deposit" for the lesson without saying anything. even after conversing with him in mandarin, he still kept asking me in a very rude "what do you want now" or "what do you want to do" i believe i have been extremely clear that all i've wanted from the very beginning is to know if i can change my booking lesson. why is that so difficult to understand? this was the first time that i've had ANY requests booking with this "school", and i really believe that i have not been difficult at all and still submitted everything according to what has been requested so i do not appreciate the rudeness and unprofessionalism that was shown to me. this really makes me start wonder how can they be teaching people on the road like this? i wonder what kind of drivers will they produce with this horrible standards and etiquette.

Beware of this driving school, hidden under sgdrivinginstructors.com super sketchy you wont know you're enrolled into this until ur first lesson. this doesn't even deserve 1 star should be 0. By the time you search this school up you probably already enrolled and fell for their trap. Save yourself early and find another instructor. Mr tan is the worst driving instructor u can get and your worst nightmare. Doesn't have patience, violent , rude , does not let you ask any question and car very smelly dirty. Super arrogant Mr Ang will flaunt his driving skill and mumbling gibbish mandarin, cannot teach at all. Mr Tan is very violent and will smack your hand when you don't do properly as he demand and scold you nag and shout at you. Like to slack off as well , waste your time and money. You can only book according to their ridiculous schedule and have to pay $6 extra to secure your garbage instructor. Mr tan the owner is crazy and scold you out of no where and find fault in your driving even when you are doing fine. Really problematic and you are basically paying them to insult you. Does not teach you proper driving techniques and important key to note during tp test. Dont waste your money you won't learn anything proper to get license. Only waste time stupid worst driving school. Do not engage.

It is 2022 in Singapore, a multi-racial country. To expect your students to communicate in mandarin/Hokkien, otherwise be damned to misunderstandings and lack of clarity in communication is extremely backwards. My instructor Mr Pang is nice, friendly and teaches well. However he also has made rather racist comments which I don’t think are funny or acceptable (eg watch out for Indian people at night due to skin colour.) Mr Tan is obnoxious, has poor attitude and professionalism and doesn’t communicate well at all. He expects students to book appointments with his rigid format, otherwise he will not entertain them or will even send a voice message scolding them. He is the only one qualified for taking you around the circuit in the driving school, and his temper is horrendous. He insults you when he is angry at you. I am not sure how I wasn’t directed straight to these reviews when I was just looking for a private driving instructor, but overall I’m appalled by the service and DO NOT RECOMMEND this school to anyone. Please save your money and find an instructor elsewhere.
