In the face of falling readership SPH has resorted to diversification into the property business. Students are made to read propaganda news purchased by schools to prop up the falling readership. Control over what you read online has been tightened further to ensure you read the "right" news.

Collected the straits times virtual run medal and T-shirt. No physical run in 2020 due to covid19. Very clear directions and security personnel and staff were friendly. Very big lobby area. No MRT station near by so had to either take a bus or drive there to collect. There are some coffeeshop near by and ample public car parking areas so can just park there

I enjoyed listening to SPH radio stations. Particularly on ONEFM 91.3, the station that plays good times greatest hits from the 80s to present. You can join to be a Onefm VIP, simply by logging on to onefm.sg or on Onefm facebook page.There are many fantastic prizes to be won - dining vouchers ,staycations ,exclusive experiences and special event invitations. My nightly ritual is to listen to Lovesongs hosted by dear truly 'Captain of our hearts' Simon Lim as he shared exciting informations and anecdotes. You will be mesmerized by his smooth voice and charismatic personality. Indeed,I had an enjoyable time at the studio watching Simon working behind the microphone. My most memorable experience was the chat on the airwaves of OneFm 91.3.

Comfortable lobby , lot of chairs for resting.

Pretty swell place. This is from the perspective of someone who has had experience working here. Pros: - decent, large toilets. - has a canteen and Toast Box in the office building. - Reception area is alright, with some tables and chairs. - Has a gym, yoga + meditation rooms, tennis court, and even nap rooms. - Pantries are OK. Free coffee, yay? - office building is absolutely massive. At least 10 floors with many different areas. - coffee shops and mcdonalds nearby! Cons: - Red line to reach SPH (braddell mrt). Traffic is bad, especially MRT. - Some areas do look quite old (roof and toilets). Considering how rich SPH is, you'd think the place will be all marble. - Prop***** machine? I mean, this is SG... - Can be confusing if it is your first time visiting. Remember to tell the security guards what you're there for, get your visitor pass, and then ask the reception for help once you enter the main building. - laptops given are shoddy. Overall: Worth visiting? I suppose... You can see how the offices are, how Straits Times conducts its news, how the DJs do what they do, and view other departments like the Chinese or Tamil newspaper. Worth working here? Maybe. Talk is that certain departments can be toxic... But the facilities are dope. And the pay is good.
