The chefs are very helpful and they did a good job. Patience and very accommodating to us seniors . Kudos to SSA Culinary for having such good and patience trainers in your school. Keep up the good work!

A good cooking school located inside the NTUC Lifelearning Institution at Eunos road. Most of the cooking classes are packed and well responded. Course fees can be subsidized too.

Update 5 Apr - SSA decided to start the class after a few more students signed up, so we got to attend the class with Chef Kelvin (5 February 2022 batch). The recipes were alright and I had fun during the class because of the company we had, but you can tell that the Chef was not the most passionate about the class. And because it's a SkillsFuture class, 50% of the time we were reading theory. -- Similar to the other reviewers, the class I signed up for (Exquisite Seafood Dishes) in January 2022 got cancelled / postponed due to low sign-ups. If you're thinking of taking a class here, call / email to ensure that there are enough people / interest in the class before actually going through the tedious registration process! The saving grace is that they are quite responsive on emails. ------ I signed up 21 January 2022 for the Exquisite Seafood Dishes class that is meant to start on 5 February 2022 and runs on 12 February and 19 February as well (3 days, 24 hours). SSA just called on 28 January 2022 to inform that the class is cancelled due to low sign ups. It's only a week between the time I signed up, and the time the class got cancelled. Surely they would know to better expect the demand of the classes by now after close to 6 years of operation? They did offer the next class that would start in March - but it's hard to have 3 Saturdays free, and who knows whether that class would get enough sign ups anyway? I opted to cancel in the end, and because I registered with my SkillsFuture Credit, I would have to head to the SFC site to manually cancel my claim for the funds to not be processed. This is very poor customer experience - I already painstakingly navigated the website's bad user interface to register for this course. I would expect this to be done on their end - as I would be going through ANOTHER hassle just to get no class conducted. SSA, If you keep postponing / cancelling your class, no one would want to sign up anymore, and you'll end up having to postpone and cancel more classes. It's a vicious circle. Will edit this review again if I ever get to attend their class.

Did a team building workshop to learn how to cook Ayam Rendang. Liaising with the staff was easy. Chef was friendly and engaging. Everyone had fun and thought the dish was delicious.

I do wish to even give a 1 star. My friends and I registered for cake baking course on this coming Sunday 8th May. However, two weeks ago received a call from a lady stating that they do not have enough plp signing up for the course, the quota hasnt reach.. When I enquired whether will it be cancel or postpone? She replied me will call to update. Since then no reply or email from ssa. I emailed the respective person IC 13 days ago and till now no reply or call. No courtesy to update plp whether the course will be conducted or not. Moreover, we have paid fully for the course. I have been trying to call the main outline but no one is picking up. Truly a disappointment!!!

I signed up for Delicious Dim Sum with SSA Culinary last year in November 2021. My course is supposed to start on the first week of January 2022, but was called a few days before commencement that the class got cancelled because there weren’t enough people attending. Caller’s attitude was also poor. Then, it was postponed to end January, and the class is supposed to start this weekend. But I just received a call again that the class will be cancelled and is now going to be postponed to March 2022 instead. Will not sign up with SSA Culinary again and hopefully this feedback will make potential customers reconsider SSA, and that the company will improve

My colleagues were at the baking studio on 1 June to learn how to bake cakes. It was a fun and enriching experience. Our chefs were very patient with us, guiding us throughout the way. They were also able to explain the instructions clearly. The kitchen was also clean and we had a blast there! Thank you for providing me and my colleagues a memorable experience at the studio and looking forward to future learnings. Also special thanks to Ms Nana for coordinating the event!

Chef Joachim was very comprehensive and clear in giving instructions. Very knowledgeable chef. We really enjoyed ourselves! Good platform to network and meet new people :)
