★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What impresses me most about coach Khang Yang apart from his beautiful moves is his obvious love for the art and sharing it in a very holistic, enjoyable manner. He readily talks about the culture, the thinking, the people of the art and infuses it in the movements, the activities and the music playing. His consistent and genuine encouragements make it welcoming for beginners of various ages and abilities. He is one teacher I feel at home with in exposing myself to a new art form. Thank you KY!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came in overweight and with no experience whatsoever in Capoeira. Figured it'd be a couple of lessons before I gave up completely. That was in Aug 2018. Fast forward to today, and I'm still coming for almost every Wed evening class. Having done MMA previously for several years, the fluidity of Capoeira was a welcome surprise. In addition, it's a full body workout, pushing different parts of you every time through the endless combinations and routines that can be put together. It's okay if you're a beginner – the lesson can be adjusted for newcomers, who will learn alongside the more senior students. And it isn't just a martial arts movement showcase – learning Capoeira under KY has been culturally immersive too, as he explains the roots and history behind the different styles, as well as introduces you to the instruments and songs that are an essential part of the experience. It's all very organic, and most importantly, fun – it's why I keep going back anyway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some ten months ago, curiosity led me to my first Capoeira experience here and since then, I have enjoyed every class under Coach Khang Yang. He is the most dedicated, passionate, pleasant and encouraging professional coach I have ever met in my many decades of sporting endeavours.
Not only does he teach the moves in Capoeira so beautifully, he also encompasses the music, language and culture of this amazing Brazilian martial art in his well-planned classes.
Highly recommended to interested people of all ages and fitness levels,
as the class content will be customised to each and everyone in attendance.
