★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not bother banking with SC Bank. Used their cards regularly for 4 years and I can only say that they have one of the worst policies and most inflexible with regards to waiver of late charges. I had legitimate reasons yet my appeal was rejected with no reasons given. Connecting to their support team has been pointless as well, as you will only receive the standard template replies.
Recommend everyone to avoid SC products and services to save yourself disappointment, anguish and frustration
Their competitors have much better service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very impressed by Carmen’s great customer service when I visited the branch yesterday. I was greeted very warmly by Carmen when she asked what I needed to do in the bank. After explaining the purpose of the visit, she ushered me to take a seat while she get all the forms and necessary info ready for me. She also guided me through the process patiently even though her shift was over. I only realised that she was off duty after all the matters were in place and settled, when she checked if there’s anything else before she took off. Carmen really made the entire banking process much more pleasant and delightful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this branch on 22 December 2021 at 12.30 pm and the service that I received was impeccable to say the least. Kimberly Tay actively listened to my enquiry and did her best to help me out. The staff at table 7 (did not find out his name, unfortunately) assisted me with utmost professionalism and I left the branch feeling really satisfied with their service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service in banks in Singapore is bad everywhere, but Standard Chartered beats them all!
They should put a sign on the door "GO AWAY!"

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Invested a significant amount of money with them and they lost 30% of it after 1.5 years. The irony is that more than 50% of the losses were due to the super high bank charges and fees. My losses could have been closer to just 10% of not for these fees. Think twice about all the upfront fees banks charge you before you put your money down with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I submitted my cheque on 24 Jan. but haven’t received money in my bank account.
So I called the standard chartered hotline. Finally someone picked up my call, saying if I don’t have their bank account, I should have submit the cheque to the bank account I have!
I remember clearly that the staff at the standard chartered told me personally to write down my UOB bank account at the back of the cheque and just throw into the cheque deposit on 24 Jan. I still have the picture as evidence.
If this is the wrong information, why no one informs me??
