Sungei Buloh is a must visit! I wish it was more accessible to the general public who rely on public transport. The coastal path was closed for construction works, and the internal shuttle bus has very low frequency, so we had to walk a few KMs from the visitor center to the wetland reserve. Alternative option would be to take 925M between the 2 points. Do take note of the shuttle bus timings to plan your trip.

A mangrove nature reserve. You can see across the straits into Johor. When the tide is low , they claim you can see crocodiles. We were lucky, managed to see one when the tide was high. Even saw a mudskipper and a tree snake. Interesting wildlife.

Place was undergoing construction when we came. Estimated completion date was March 2022. The most part of the trail was closed, so there's really nothing much to see, other than the visitor center and Eagle Point. To get here via public transport, take the mrt to Kranji station. Then take bus 925M and alight at the bus stop named Opp PUB Quarter. Cross the road and you will arrive at the entrance. There are some well preserved artifacts in the visitor center, and it's the only place with aircon. Infrastructure was nicely built, and there weren't a lot of people when we came. To get to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, there's a large distance you need to cover by foot. See pictures for a map

Pleasant trip to the wetlands and we even managed to catch a sighting of the eagles! The eagle point had people who were already waiting and imagine our glee when they flew past. Ample signages available to direct people clearly. Wonderful!

Went there via farm tour. We are only able to explore maybe 1/10 of the area. It was a lovely place and JB is just right across the wetland. Will find time to come here again to take more pictures and for some leisure walk in the nature.

Very very far away, better to take a taxi to go there, otherwise the bus stop is hard to find and a long way to go. Lots lots of lizards, and they will appear suddenly while you’re walking. A large area for observing the wild birds which is very educational for kids, but as it’s a wetland reserve, the construction are not very good. So it’s better to wear long socks, otherwise the sands will fill your shoes. Generally a good place for exploring, hiking and adventures, but not suitable for leisure walks, really needs good physical strength.

Sungei Buloh Wetland is a place for hiker that love adventures hiking. It's a sophisticated place that you will not see in any other part of Singapore. The most interesting part is you will see monitor lizard enjoying their morning sun bath along the way

Sungei is strongly recommended to walk in nature with family. If you are lucky, you can see crocodile. I saw 2 times in a day. Prepare anti bug spray and water to drink. There is a shuttle bus at Kranji MRT station.
