★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mediocre. Nasi goreng only have maggi seasoning taste. The ayam penyet is so small. Go for Yes! Nasi kukus instead. Their fried chicken is so much better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maggots in the chicken!!! Be warned!! Owner said they were rice? See second photo of how rice looks compared to the deep fried maggot. He even showed us a bowl of 'rice', I.e. deep fried maggots. Obviously, he knows the problem and has tried to pick out the maggots but missed out those in my chicken. Deep fried chicken doesn't mean you can use rotten chicken! ????

So desperate to earn a couple of cents, so ended up didn't get to earn my money. But luckily I didn't buy because i read the reviews and mostly said food only so so....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ first and the last time buying here. the woman was very rude. she showed me her "disgusted" look when i asked for something and she spoke to me in a rude manner. maybe she needs to learn some basic manners especially in customer service. if you are looking for ayam penyet in the chong pang area there are other options. e.g. the one beside the POSB.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the nasi goreng ayam penyet. The nasi goreng was bland. The ayam was so so, there was a unique flavour though. Overall, average. I don't think I'll order again. The extra star was for the extra sambal the stall guy gave me without me asking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the Gambas crescent this morning, the chicken was superb unlike some stalls using frozen chickens. They used fresh chickens, the sambal was very nice. The price at $6 was also very reasonable. Will definitely eat there again if around woodlands/sembawang

The taste is as simple as the photo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average Ayam Penyet at a price. Rice is not fragrant. Chilli is good for diner who doesn't like it to be too spicy. Soup is bland. If there is a saving grace, the chicken is fine. Crispy skin and tender meat but not flavourful.
