No regrets coming back to Sweenys! My haircut today by Rosemary whom I highly recommend for her professionalism and her amiable attitude & my hair treatment by Helen ? it was so gooood!

Once would have been bad enough. But the hairdresser named Angie (whom I hardly know) insulted me FOUR times today. She called me fat, and told me to “get some exercise”. For no reason at all, even though I was polite. After I told her she was offensive, she continued insulting me. A normal person would realise their mistake and stop. But she continued calling me fat several times more. The owner of the salon laughed uncomfortably, as he knew she was being horrid. Yet he said nothing to set her straight. To make things worse, she eyed my body a few times, surveying me up & down, like I was a piece of meat. And that’s not the end of it. As Angie knows my mother vaguely, she thought it was ok to start prying into our personal lives. She asked my son (a 12 year old child) extremely personal questions, such as my living arrangements at home. Hands down, Angie is the rudest, nosiest & most tactless human being I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. The way she treated us was demeaning & unprofessional. If the owner is a decent man who understands the concept of customer respect, he will educate Angie on basic manners (which people normally learn when they’re in kindergarten). We did not make a scene, but left the place feeling awful. We will never set foot in this salon again!

Decent haircut but last time my teenager went for a cut, she was charged $75 for a trim that took 4 minutes flat. Hmm, not so very budget or competitive pricing. :(

I've been coming to Sweeny's since 1997. Rosemary is the best hair stylist I've ever had. Prices are very reasonable and the service is fast and professional. I recommend this place and Rosemary to all of my Asian and non-Asian friends.

Im male, with generally short side part hair. Been cutting my hair here for about 3 years now. I havent had a bad experience. Only 1-2 times the hairdresser didnt get it right. Since the one cutting my hair resigned recently, my cuts are now done by Evon. Shes really talented. Only drawback of this place is that they close early on weekdays. no choice but to come on Saturdays.

Today I got a call from your salon. A lady asked who called, when I asked who was this she kept asking who called and refused to tell me who she is or where she is calling from. I checked my phone and saw that I have never called your salon. I told the lady that I did not call your salon. In which, she was utterly rude and in her own words. Don’t call and anyhow call and hung up. Seriously? And for her to not identify herself and asking who called is already rude to begin with.

This was my first time to Sweeny’s, but it definitely won’t be my last. Located on the third floor of Holland Road Shopping Centre, this hair salon exudes a charming old-school vibe. They’ve been around for over 40 years! They offer all kinds of hair services here. I think they’re a hidden gem especially for expats living around the area. With so many years of hairdressing experience, I’m sure you’ll be in good hands here, whether you’re looking to get a trim, a retouch of your blonde highlights, or a protein treatment to smoothen out frizz.

Fabulous! The best hairdresser for doing blonde Ive found in Singapore. Also do amazing head massages with the wash. They are easy to book with (I usually book on the day or 24 h ahead), always reliable with their quality and very reasonably priced. Also blow wave is only $30 and such a treat. Highly recommend, worth travelling for.
