Tablescape Restaurant and Bar - 10 Coleman St

Entertainer 1-for-1 brought me to this gem of a restaurant. It's conveniently located near City Hall MRT. We ordered the iberico pork & black cod fish dishes @ $48 each. They started us off with an arancini, bread & butter. Their bread was DELICIOUS. It was fragrant & oasted to a nice warm temperature - slightly crisp on the outside & fluffy on the inside. The unsalted butter & margarine served with it gave it a creamy touch. The iberico pork was BOOMZ - the savoury, slightly charred flavour + the sweetness of the sauces + onions + carrot gave the dish a burst of flavour. The black cod had a more muted taste which is great because it didn't overwhelm the natural taste of the fish. Ambiance was romantic with rather dim lighting & really soft music. Service was prompt & excellent. The waiter could answer my questions on the bread details & stuff?? Wouldn't mind dining here again to try their other dishes ??

We've been to tablescape since before COVID. Really enjoyed the bread and mains back then, also the service here is immaculate. They closed during COVID and switched to deliveries only so we only just managed to find time to come and try their high tea. There aren't a lot of good high tea places in Singapore but given our fond memories of Tablescape, we thought we are in for a good ride. Little did we know it's a ride to hell itself. Let's start with the sweets on the first tier. The eclair is mushy, the pastry has been left out for so long that it's chewy and not crispy. The sponge cake has been LEFT OUT for so long the sponge is WET cuz of the toppings. Okay let's roll on with the savouries. The sandwiches are dry cuz -you know it- been left out for God knows how long. The beetroot cup instead of crispy became moist cuz ITS BEEN LEFT OUT FOR SO LONG. Lastly the scones. My god they are horrible, it's slightly underbaked and been LEFT OUT so when you bite into them, it's welds my mouth together. All in all, this experience is enough for us to never come back. 2/5. 1 additional star for the good memories and the only saving grace for the entire high tea. Those fresh strawberries

Great dining experience! Derek and team are fantastic with the service. They are sincere and attentive the whole evening. We like most of the dishes starting from the bread basket. The bread are freshly made and they provided another serving after knowing we liked it. We also liked the lamb rack and the beef cheeks. The lamb is cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. They even provided a piece of complimentary cake for a friend who is celebrating his birthday. Overall an awesome experience and we will be coming back to try more dishes.

Service and food is always good at Tablescape. They’ve gone through a few versions of their menu—their latest still along the lines of modern European with a stronger, thoughtful infusion of Asian flavours—but their superb breads remain. Star from their latest menu is undoubtedly their Botanic Garden, inspired by the same-name UNESCO World Heritage Site. A glorious presentation of seasonal vegetables and fruits on an alluringly smokey base of charcoal-grilled eggplant and beetroot. PS. They also have a Glamping Picnic experience if that’s your thing.

Had the set lunch which was excellent value. Food was delicious and well executed. Our smoked duck starter was refreshingly light on the palate. The mains we chose (pork roulade) was very generous. Loved the champagne gel dessert. Service was friendly and attentive and a big shout out to Rico for making our dining experience a most enjoyable one!

Really bad breakfast. I paid 4€ per day for two persons as part of the hotel reservation with Agoda. The breakfast was that bad that after the second day we decided going to have breakfast somewhere else even if it was already paid in the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants around much better than this one. The service was also confusing and chaotic. They brought us things that were for other tables. Then they brought the breakfast for only one of us and when we told the waitress that one breakfast was missing instead of apologizing, he asked: ah, do you want breakfast as well?

Visited for afternoon tea. Was seated near the check-in counter and Club Lounge. The area for afternoon was simply a narrow strip of around 7 tables. Very dimly lit and no view to speak of - it's facing the bar counter and check-in counter. There wasn't any buffer zone between all these areas thus the noise travelled over. Noise from drinks prep, other diners' loud voices, people checking-in. Very annoying and hard to relax in these circumstances. Requested for a table further in and was told that it was reserved for 'fine dining', not for afternoon tea. I think Tablescape can do better than that if it wants to sell itself as a destination for afternoon tea. The food itself was alright. Scones were nice & buttery but only 1 piece of each flavour was served. Would taste better if kept warm in a basket. Passionfruit praline provided a nice tangy end to the meal. Sandwiches were alright but not outstanding. Coffee and tea are OK, diners are allowed to order 2nd serving. Service was alright but the server did not provide details on what was being served. I was given a parking coupon with $10 value but it did not cover 3 hours parking as stated. Probably 2 to 2.5 hours on a weekend.

Rooftop BBQ Located at the pretty rooftop Garden of Grand Park Hotel City Hall. You need to visit level 3 reception for the staff to allow you access to this garden which is open only to hotel guests. The staff we encounted were all very friendly and prompt in their service. Really great experience. The happy hour drinks was greatly welcome to cool ourselves down in the warm weather. There are different Bbq platters to choose from depending on your group size and preference. When the night falls the place is nicely lit and gives a romantic feel. Definitely will return again
