★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No queue on a Sat nite 7pm. Tried rhe original stall at Hong Lim a few years ago. Surprisingly I prefer this stall. Was happy to be greeted by local staff who was polite despite sweating behind the stove. Enough ingredients for my $5 worth of mee pok. Soup was alittle bland though but welcomed after my dry noodles with alttle bit of chilli and vinegar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried twice. Once via grab and once in-person. It wasn’t good at all. Too much vinegar. Meat was very dry. They charged 30 cents extra for takeaway but don’t give the accompanying soup. Your normal non-descript mee pok stalls are better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always loved the amazing combination of sauces, vinegar, lard oil and chilli, on top of minced meat, pork slices, pork liver, and fried sole fish!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taste wise it is definitely worth a try. It has a traditional taste. The noodles and sauce give it a slippery texture, so it does not feel too dry.
There is a slightly longer waiting time even though there was a short queue. Not sure if it is because of a longer preparation/cooking time required. Overall, the taste is good, should definitely eat in if there are seats in the coffeeshop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The noodle is good. It is one of those stall under michelin guide. Most other outlets usually have a queue, but this stall at owen road do not have a queue. But that doesnt mean it not as tasty as good as other outlet, in fact i find it much better then other outlet. This stall tend by a local lady.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Invisible queue. No need to line up at this branch but Mr Mee Pok man will still tell you to wait 30 mins and remember when it's your turn to order.
The signature BCM is a generous portion but the flavor is unremarkable. Rather join the queue for the other Tai Wah.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great & consistent bak chor mee. Tried twice 1 month apart ($5 & $9) Value for money there are many strong nice flavours and texture in a bowl of bcm.
The vinegar taste is distinct, sole fish is crispy and has lotsa unami, broth taste clean although it’s murky. Pork balls is flavourful and liver is cooked al dente!
Hardly any queue too. I will be back whenever I have craving for bcm!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I saw there was no que and decided to try.
Was wondering wat is the $9 special Tai Wah noodles.
So I ordered....
End up...It is just a Upsize from their normal size.
Just more meat , dumplings and meat balls....
So a normal one is $4.5.
Upsize to $9.
Become SPECIAL...
Quite misleading.....
Maybe 1 piece of abalone or even 1 Special meat ball also can...
Ordered $9 . You expect a bit more soup...
Ehh.. no . All into one small bowl....
Eat until very sick of it...
The soup is.... Quite.. thirsty.
I order 2 drinks...
Then another 2 drinks. Tats 4.
Not really worth my $9 bucks
