The newly opened Technoedge has several old stalls brought back, with some new ones. Their stalls include: - Malay food - Indian food - Vegetarian - Western - Mixed vegetables rice - Roasted meat stall - Fish and spinach soup - Taiwanese - Drinks - Fruit / Juice For the Malay food, it is the Nasi Padang style. You can choose from the dishes available on display. Their sambal goreng and sambal kangkong are enjoyable. The kangkong may be on the spicier side. The sambal goreng, however, is tasty and the stall is quite generous with their portions. Their ayam masak merah is also good. The gravy has slight sweetness complemented with slight spiciness. They also have assam fish. I find that the assam gravy quite good - spicy and sour. Their fish is also well cooked (i.e. cooked not to the point that the flesh is tough). In addition, they also serve nasi lemak sets. The set comes with fried chicken wing, fried egg, sambal, and cucumber. The chicken wing has an okay seasoning. The sambal is not too spicy and is generally sweeter, which I do prefer. For the Indian food, they serve a variety of dishes which you can mix-and-match. They also serve Thosai, an Indian fermented batter crepe. It is served to order. I particularly enjoyed that the crepe is thin and there is a hint of tanginess. The Thosai can also be filled with masala potato -- which I find very enjoyable. On some days, they also serve the curd rice (rice mixed with yoghurt). For the mixed vegetable rice, it is one of the more popular stalls. The queue is usually long during lunch hours (12-1pm). The vegetable dishes are generally quite tasty, albeit being on the oilier side. They also have meat options which are relatively cheap. The meat dishes that I tried include drumstick chicken curry, sweet and sour meat, sliced pork, and pork liver. Each dishes were good - the sweet and sour dish was meaty enough. The sliced pork was tender. The liver is also well cooked also. For the fish and spinach soup, I had once tried the spinach sliced fish soup. I liked how they put in some meat chunks inside. The sliced fish is also quite aplenty. The spinach portion is also quite generous. For the roasted meats stall, they have a variety of meats - cha shao, shao rou and roast chicken. The rice itself is quite flavorful and not too oily. The shao rou (roast pork) has a crispy skin. The cha shao, although good in taste, was sliced a bit too thinly, losing the “bite”. For the vegetarian food, it sells in a mixed vegetable rice style. The dishes are generally good. Some of the dishes I’ve tried include the braised mushrooms (very well braised with a sweetish braising liquid); sweet-sour taupok/mock meat (both are good, with the taupok one slightly drier); spring rolls (the filling is quite plenty and is still crunchy, but is rather oily); braised/herbal tau kee (good herbalish-taste on the braising liquid). As for the fried items that I've tried - such as the vegetarian drumstick (made out of beancurd skin), the spring roll (filled with turnips), vegetable fritters - they are generally good, but may be slightly oily, especially the vegetable fritters. For the western food, it is the same as in the old one and is just as good. The chicken chop is very tender, quite moist, and has a crispy skin. It comes with side dishes of baked beans, mashed/fried potato, and a sausage.

Good variation of food, many halal stalls! Stall uncles and aunties are very concerned about safety and adhere well to SMM and guidelines!

Love the spacious layout. One of the uncovered gems in NUS but not very ascessible.

Can buy a mixed rice meal with 1 meat, 2 veggies and brown rice at $3.1... So far there are no cheaper meals than this in Singapore lah.

Tried the Roti Prata at Techno Edge Canteen. It's crispy, slightly chewy and fluffy at the same time. However, be ready to stand in tediously long queues for the most part during peak hours, but it is quite worth the wait.

Good old days spent here with my engineering friends, but kinda sad that they replaced macs with a new joint. The burger tastes cheap, and it is pretty expensive ($12)
