Thai Aroy - 84 Marine Parade Central

Pricey and mediocre.

Me :Steam fish Her: don't have, fish not fresh Me: mango salad Her: I one person cannot do (as in she is the only person in shop n she cannot make mango salad due to manpower) Me:....... Seriously?

Eating at a hawker centre is a no-frills affair where i don't expect restaurant quality service, but I certainly did not expect such hostile attitude from the lady taking orders at Thai Aroy. She couldnt understand when I asked for less spicy and had a nasty attitude when she finally did. When my order was ready, she simply slammed the bell. With a few customers waiting, no one really knew whose order was ready. I had to come forward and ask. The lady gestured in an unfriendly manner which I took to mean - well if you recognise it as yours then take it. Paid $5 for a plate of tom yum fried rice which came with only 2 small prawns (more like shrimps) and a small slice of cuttlefish with a ton of rice. I saw the cook crack 3 eggs into a bowl and scoop out part of it for 5 plates of tom yum fried rice! Needless to say, there was hardly any in my fried rice. Better off going to the thai stall at the foodcourt in the mall across the road. $5.50 gets you a lot more ingredients and decent service.

did not have a good experience with the quality of food and the hostile attitude of the auntie. Order tom yam chicken + white rice for takeaway. It was not cheap and summed up to $7.80. Got home to realize the ingredients in the soup were only pieces of chicken and some shimeiji mushrooms. That's all. For a hawker standard, this is overpriced. Will not patronize the stall again.
