Gives you more confidence in boat handling and tips on how to actually sail a powerboat in Singapore waters.
Recommend to anyone who have gone for ppcdl and wish to advance their skill.
The only con was trying to teach too many things in a short time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended the PPCDL course at The Boat Shop Asia in June 2020. Due to the Coronavirus the 2 days of theory classes were online and 1 day of practice was held after the restrictions were lifted. The course is really high quality and the trainers, both for the theory (Terence and Henry) and practice (Bryan) classes are top notch (many from years in commercial shipping or the Singapore navy, including former Navy ship commanders). I studied only the Boat shop course material and practice questions for the PPCDL exam and passed in one go. Before the practical exam I took an extra practice refresher session which prepared me very well for the actual exam, which I also passed at first try thanks to the very good, patient and to the point coaching of Major Lim. Besides professionals, all trainers were actually very nice and fun people too. I highly recommend the Boat Shop Asia for PPCDL and / or other courses!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well put together course and presentation delivered by the instructor in a concise and very helpful manner. Even long term boaters will pick up valuable tips on navigating in Singapore waters and a great refresher for those out of touch with the boating scene. Highly recommended.
