The Early Chapter

My child is currently attending Prep Class. I totally love the concept by The Early Chapter, from the way the teachers conduct the activities to the creative materials being used to simulate the themes each week, not to mentioned that everything is very well-organised. This is very important especially for the young ones whose attention span are very short. On top of that, the children get to have opportunities to play the available toys and interact with other children. For anyone looking to have a full Mandarin immersion experience, I recommend The Early Chapter!

We bumped into the Early Chapter when visiting Singapore. My daughter immediately draws her attention to the little kitchen when we walked pass so we sent her in for a taster class - she ended up went back for another three days of holiday camp experience and was super happy and eager to go in. We are a mandarin speaking family living in London. It was such a good experience to have for my daughter to enjoy the mandarin immersive fun classes and to have built up such beautiful relationships with all the lovely ladies on-site. She has absorbed so much language from the experience that she started to playback the Chinese stories and sing the Chinese songs that she heard from these sessions.

My son enjoys learning Chinese through play. He especially loves the cooking classes at The early chapter. We are very happy to have found a place where my son can be encouraged to speak in Mandarin in a all mandarin speaking environment like this. The staffs are all very friendly and the environment always looks clean. Their curriculum and lessons are very well planned too. We encourage every parent to bring their kids to The Early Chapter.

We've been with The Early Chapter since Feb-Mar this year and it's been great! Finally, a place where younger children can learn Mandarin incidentally through various fun activities instead of just drill and practice. Wish we had something similar during my time! Most places cater to children aged 6/7 and above so I absolutely love that this place caters to children below 7 so the classes are tailored specially for them. My older daughter loves the cooking and role-play classes and my younger daughter loves the sensory play classes. When we signed up, there weren't as many types of classes available but the co-founder, Marcus, is very open to feedback and is constantly looking for ways to improve. So glad they created a sensory play class for kids 14m to 23m as it's super hard to keep these kids engaged in a sit-down sort of lesson and they are also too young to be following instructions for cooking or other activities. When there wasn't a class that suited my daughter's schedule, they created a class for her as well! Super amazing customer service! I also love that they encourage you to just drop your kid off and it's conveniently located in Marina Square so you can run your errands while your kids are meaningfully engaged. Furthermore, with clubhouse membership, you can drop your kids off anytime between 9am to 6pm and they'll have staff to take care of your children and play with them in a Mandarin-speaking environment. I've recommended this place to many of my friends and will definitely continue to do so!

This is my 4th month of subscription to The Early Chapter. I am really glad to find such an immersive Chinese learning club for my child. I stumbled upon this on Instagram and decided to give it a try. My child felt in love with this club after only two trial classes and even sings the welcome songs at home. This surprised me and showed me that the innovative learning approach of The Early Chapter is effective - through learning with arts, games and story telling, they came to possession of basic Chinese sentences and words in a joyful process. This is what I believe the best part of this club. What I recommend the most among all the club activities is the “Jr explorers”. Every week, the children are lead to do different scientific experiments, these fun little experiments teach them fundamental physics and enriched their knowledge. Such innovative learning process is so much different compared to the average tutoring. This made me further believe that The Early Chapter is a innovative and creative Chinese-learning club, it indeed make learning as fun as playing and is able to teach through fun. Now every Saturday, my son asks me when will I bring him to the club. Hope The Early Chapter continues to thrive and shine with more and more fun activities!

The Early Chapter creates a good environment for children to learn Chinese by letting children to learn while playing games during classes. In particular, we have the “姐姐” in the club who are very patient with the children and carefully accompany the children to learn, play games and make friends with each other. My child's favourite “姐姐” is 喵喵～

We first joined their Chinese trial class in Nov21 and we fell in love in their classes, ranging from Cooking, Role Play, Explorer, Story telling classes and even recommended friends and family to The Early Chapter. Ever since my son joined the centre, he has more interests in Chinese and learning through playing is always a good experience! I will recommend The Early Chapter from kids as young as 18months ✅️?

Great place for kids to learn and enjoy speaking Mandarin. The educators are encouraging, patient and friendly. My daughter enjoys her cooking or STEM sessions every time we visit. There is also an area for kids to play, immerse themselves and practice speaking in Mandarin. It's different from the usual sit and learn evironment. Thumbs up to the founders!
