Warning to all customers who visit this place. This is an account of how my mother got cheated through their unscrupulous pressured selling and prey on ignorant elderly. This matter is raised to the police and next, to the CASE. On that fateful day 11th July, I am forced to alight off the bus 190 at Pearls Centre to answer my call of nature after a routine check-up at SGH. I walked briskly into the complex basement and ask for direction to the toilet by a lady, who happens to be the masseur at the saloon, directed me. After I came out, she begins to tout illegally by using compulsory physical act. She begins by misleading victims on false claims of the service offered of $28.00/ session targeting on fragile and helpless elderly which I realised much later. The pressurised sales began when I was lying on the masseur bed, awaiting for treatment. They start on the treatment and notify me on my poor physical condition I have and start to push in a package deal. I disagree and would only like to take this session only but a few more masseur came in to push sales as well, then the amount came up to be $1800 which promises 20 sessions of treatment. As the treatment process has not begin, they insisted payment to be prompt and immediate. I had requested to change out but they have total disregard of it. I was wrapped with the towel and proceed to pay at counter and signed for the package near the main entrance subjecting me to embarrassment. At that point, another $1000.00 in addition was billed for an unusual claim that the treatment will make my hair healthy and black. I asked for a defer payment on the next visit but a "helpful" masseur offered to bring me to the nearest ATM machine after my 1st treatment. As the ordeal is petrifying and confused to me, I reluctantly went with the masseur (Jing jing) to the ATM to withdraw the cash. I hit the wrong pin thrice and it is confiscated. Next thing I know, she offers to help by accompanying me to the POSB branch office to make a new card. The cash was handed to her but the reciept I requested will be issue on the 2nd visit. During my second visit, the same masseur used the same tactics and notify me that my neck has problems and would require treatment. The same en-nactment begins and this time round, the package cost $2000.00. At that point of helpless situation, I was coerced to sign up the package. As I did not bring my ATM card that day, a masseur (Jing jing) “helpfully” volunteer to accompany me back home to retrieve the cash from me. I told her that the package will be paid on the next visit but she insisted to make the trip. I make the payment and asked for the receipt. She said that I had taken it just now at the saloon and blames it on my forgetfulness. I am very certain that I did not receive any receipt except for the signed package. The whole ordeal suddenly make me awaken when the entire treatment course stops at the 7th treatment and they blatantly said that I had completed all the treatments and sarcastically said to me that if you still got any problems, it is not our treatment issue. The receipts were not issued to me until 14th Oct when I went to the saloon to demand for the 2 reciepts. Only the initial package is written and refused to issue receipt for the 2nd package after I told them my son will come down to ask for it.
