β β β β β The Herbal Bar is my reliable go-to for high quality nourishing food. The piping hot soups are double boiled, and richly flavoured with the nuances of herbs and without the use of oil or MSG which is a big win for me.
My personal favourite is the Bittergourd Soup with Mee Sua, accompanied by the Fungus Salad appetiser. The Chuan Bei Almond Drink and Lavender Jelly are such healthy treatoptions for the sweet tooth!
The service is not only efficient and attentive, but the biggest selling point, in my honest opinion is the knowledge of the business owners, who come from a long line of TCM practitioners. I usually describe my needs (approaching menstruation/sore throat/feeling bloated etc) and they are quick to give suggestions on what I should eat and what I should avoid.
I've already brought a few friends to The Herbal Bar for lunch catch ups and they always leave the place with empty plates and smiling faces.

β β β β β Tucked away at a little corner of the basement of Republic Plaza is this hidden gem, The Herbal Bar. Iβm a Cantonese and big on soups, so can you imagine my delight when I came across this wonderful shop that not only sells delicious Chinese soup, but also truly healthy meals!?! I had the ginseng soup and it was AMAZING! It was not expensive as well. Will definitely be back here again. Besides, there are a lot of eye candy staff here!

β β β β β One of my fave places for lunch in the CBD - enjoy a bowl of tasty and healthy (MSG-free) double boiled soup with premium ingredients! Comforting cause you can drink your soup in an air conditioned environment.
I like to stock up on their well packaged broths for convenient home cooking too. Allows my family to enjoy healthy and authentic herbal soups conveniently and with minimal prep work in the kitchen. Check out photos of my fuss free DIY one-pot meals using their broths.

β β β β β Food for my soul whilst WfH?! Finally ordered the boiled soups and desserts to share with my maiden family. Had 2 soups with my almost 80yo mum (she slurped all the chicken herbal soup n took my gui ling gao drink?).
Had Fish maw soup for the first time too, really yummy. Glad that i made extra orders of diff broths for rainy dys ahead and desserts as treats for rest of family. Check out my surprise bento, satisfying n so loved ~~

β β β β β Misses my favourite cabbage with meatball soup, mini buddha jump over the wall soup and almond drink after I stopped working. Finally I managed to have it delivered to me. I'm so happy that they launched the 700ml packet almond drink. I dont have to bring my 2 1.5litre tupperware water bottle to tabao home for my family. :) the broth is so awesome, I can now prepare nutritious soup for my family easily and anytime!
My youngest love the meatball soup and meat patty. He finished all the meatballs and almost 3/4 of the meat patty!

β β β β β Healthy (no MSG) and delicious herbal soups with brown rice. They have a decent space with air con. Price is a bit high as itβs within central office area but itβs worth it.

β β β β β It's very good Chinese soup vegetarian options available. Love the variety and quality of the food. Wide range of healthy soups with rice or noodles. Good for the health. Must support local healthy stalls. I took take away to try. They pack seperate the noodles from the soup so it won't go soggy. Will definitely come again.
