β β β β β My son has been with TLL for 4 years now. I have no problems with their entry assessments (not sure why some parents do). I actually do appreciate that the school tries to group children with similar learning abilities together so it doesn't slow down the progress of my child. Yes, price is premium but you get what you pay for. I don't have an issue with their pricing although I wish they offer sibling discounts and multiple subject discounts. Their online parent's portal is a real life saver and the new queue system is definitely more systematic. Gonna start my younger one at TLL Jr soon.

β β β β β School imparting poor values to students. Can't differentiate right and wrong behaviour.

β β β β β One of the tutors that I trust my kid with. My kids started lessons with them since primary 3. He doing well in school with a pretty good attitude to school work.
I think the tutors download their work attitude and temperament to their students during class interaction, and the tutor has a hardworking and organized approach to work, so my kid have a mentor they look up to.

β β β β β I signed up my two boys for TLL classes. However, the worksheets are not sent on time. My child's online calendar shows a class on 25th dec !!
At another location, a fixed replacement has been scheduled at another day - without my knowledge or email confirmation. He has been booked for 2 classes back to back. For a 8 year old, I don't wish him to do 2 tuitions back to back. However the TLL Is flexible system doesn't allow to change the rescheduled classes.
The system is rigid that we can't change things around and officers on the phone after a long waiting period, not helpful and incompetent.
The course curriculum is well thought through and I wish they could understand that parents are paying a lot and would prefer ease of communication.

β β β β β As a parent of a student of TLL, I would beseech all TLL parents or prospective parent to boycott this mercenary tuition centre. Singapore is having record COVID'19 cases at 450 infected on 9th Sep and their Marine Parade centre had a confirmed case whom attended 2 classes. I asked for my child to be suspended from attended classes until the COVID'19 situation is not so serious. TLL said they do not offer suspension of classes and they will not refund deposit if we choose to not go for classes without 1 month notice. Can I ask whom in the world can tell us when this COVID'19 situation will be not so serious?!?! So how do I preempt one month ahead to withdraw my child from the classes? So I have to pay for 4 wasted classes if I want to get my deposit back which is absolute rubbish policy! The safety of our children is paramount and I ask the community to write in to TLL and stop being such mercenaries. The owners obviously just care about their bottomline and not the safety of our children!

β β β β β Despite children are vaccinated, they arrange physical and virtual alternate classes. The sound quality of online classes is terrible - very hard to hear properly. I wouldn't sign up if I knew this.

β β β β β They have good customer service. I wanted to try different teachers before commiting to the class and they were very accommodative. There were some minor hiccups when the teacher we wanted to try was replaced by another teacher because she was sick but we brought it to their attention and we managed to try that teacher's class as well. They teach slightly ahead of school syllabus so that when the child learns it in school, its easier for them to grasp. My daughter is more willing to participate in class. She feels smarter and willing to teach others students. Teaching others is one of the best ways to learn. So, their methods work. My girl's grades are better.

β β β β β Extremely disappointed with their P5 intensive holiday program for Science. The topics covered were totally P3 and P4 work. Totally not worth our time going for this course.
That is a total of 6 hours with nothing covered from the P5 syllabus.
Worst of all it took 2 emails and 3 desk complains before anyone bothered to call me.
