★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A healthy mix for lunch with base of brown rice, non fried veggies, tofu and toppings. The soup is a great side and has a good cleanse twist to it. Possibility to add extra veggies for 1$ and to ask for more or less rice and toppings

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly I think the fried anchovies and cai pok plus fresh ingredients and leafy soup makes the whole combination damn tasty. MUST TRY. I will eat this whenever I'm lunching at Lau Pa Sat! Good ?? you can also request for vegetarian version (there's no meat).

I got hooked during my 1st visit when I ordered the brown rice bee hoon..
Although tasted quite bland, but this is the natural and healthy taste that we like it..
So I back again and found there is a dish very suitable for my hubby as he doesn't like to eat rice nor bee hoon, that is the chickpeas with other normal lei cha ingredients..
In fact, they have many varieties and choices of ingredients for you to choose..
Will be back as so many choices to choose...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This outlet at Lau Pa Sat is a part of the same original thunder tea rice place at Joo Chiat Road. It’s a traditional Chinese food which is extremely tasty, healthy and filling. You can get a vegetarian version of the same if you ask. You can even make it Kow carb by avoiding the rice if you want. Must try things in Singapore

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried this for the first time today and fell in love after the very first bite (this was #1 on the menu - their OG). Everything was seasoned very well (not too bland, not too salty, and all tasted very fresh), lots of texture (one of my favourite things about this dish), and the tea was just right. I’ve only tried this dish twice (at different stores) and this one had to be my favourite of the two. The lunch queue was long but it moved very fast. You can change to brown rice at no additional cost (I did for this!). Highly recommend if you like thunder tea rice and are in the area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With all the deep-fried greasy foods from non-stop hawker hopping, Thunder Tea Rice was refreshingly delicious, and on the healthier side.
It’s a cold dish of rice mixed with some herbs, green tea, nuts, tofu, greens, and dried anchovies to add some flavor.
Each spoonful is a mix of textures, crunchy and soft, soupy and solid. Worth a try!
