Under Der Linden Restaurant - 5B Portsdown Rd

Ended my hiking trail and had a great coffee and tea here. When I ordered an iced long black, I thought it was only going to be a cup of coffee like every other place. But they actually put so much detail into their coffee that you actually get to pour the espresso yourself into the cup of ice. That really lifted the experience. The flower tea is also pretty fragrant and lightly sweetened and comes in a pretty glass - that you can bring home! The place is also dog/pet friendly as I see many pet owners brought their pets in. A good place to relax the afternoon away.

Relatively cosy European themed restaurant with a beautiful floral concept. The decor and vibes is indeed appealing. Very romantic and pleasant environment. Great for catch-ups with friends and dates. Also pet-friendly as well at their alfresco corner. Many are here for wedding shoots, ROMs, or even proposals because of the floral setup. Service can get really slow, even at non-peak hours and just for a simple beer. Range of food is okay - they are good for the pastas and steaks. Prices are slightly on the higher end. Accessible by bus 191 but most drive in anyways for the sake of convenience. Free parking along the open space area just adjacent to the restaurant. Overall, good ambience and food but service can be further improved. Worth a visit definitely!

Food was pretty amazing - gotta try the squid ink pasta. Didn't manage to take all the photos! Sides were great - brocollini, mash potatoes, truffle fries. Black sesame latte, wonderful! Nice deco too!

Amazing decorations, great vibe and pet friendly restaurant. Food was a bit without the taste. Lack of basic spaces to be honest. Could be better especially if they do home made pasta. Chef add more salt and pepper please:)

Really pretty dainty place that’s quiet and tucked away. There’s a bus stop right outside, good place for a quiet celebration or catch up. The food we had were alright, best dish to me was the squid ink pasta. The dessert collection was little, only 2 types of tarts and 1 cake. The staff were prompt and friendly so overall a good place to come by!

My friend gave me a birthday treat at this special place. Love the ambience and food here! The beef and salad was fantastic! You may want to skip the Earl Grey Lavender cake which is purely sugar, no taste of Earl Grey nor Lavender. I will highly recommend the Vanilla Strawberry Choux! Service was a little lacking. The table had little ‘water puddles’ and was not dried properly. We had to request for them to clean the table again. But overall, still a pleasant experience. Will come back again!

Instagrammable and pet friendly cafe with pretty decent food and not too overpriced. Pesto pasta and salmon was nice. The steak however though was way too fatty on one side and lean on the other we had to cut the sides off as it was pure beef fat (not marbling). I would not recommend ordering this. The cakes are good too not too sweet and nice. The bonus though is that pets are allowed indoors which is nice as most cafes are outdoor only for pets

Beautiful place with stunning dishes. I was pleasantly surprised with their blue Sweet Potato Latte, though a starchy plant, the beverage was amazingly light. Do note that there are only two choices of milk for their coffee, regular and soy. Pastas are decently tasty, and good portion. There is plenty of parking space outside the restaurant and takes reservations.
