I joined Unicorn as a client in December 2021 and the journey all the way till today has been a positive experience. I am working with my financial consultant, Alicia Chin, and she is a big life saver of mine. She is not any consultant you will encounter in the public as she prioritised her client’s goal rather than hard selling the products and plans. As I had very little knowledge about financial planning and investing, Alicia spent some time guiding and teaching me the importance of financial planning and how we should plan for our future in terms of the financial aspect. My wife and I introduced to Jasmine by a friend who was working at Unicorn. Previously I had only purchased policies directly from the leading underwriters where I was not being told what those policies would help me achieve in my financial goals. I find Jasmine knowledgeable, professional and able to propose viable solutions to cater to our life goals and retirement plans. Instead of only marketing products from one single underwriter, she had recommended polices that were truly beneficial for us rather than just selling products to meet sales targets. I was recommended to my financial advisor, Andrea, by my boyfriend last year. I am so glad and fortunate to have met such a great and attentive financial advisor like him. Jason Tan has been my financial consultant for many years and I entrust him to handle all things related to protection and growth of my health and wealth. Through his sharing I've come to understand the different concepts and channels for financial planning. What stands out about Unicorn is their approach of crafting out a bespoke financial plan based on individual needs and financial goals. This is something that I don't think I'd be able to do so myself. I also appreciate that Jason initiates periodic reviews to check in on any changes in my life that might translate to tweaking of my plans. Got recommendation from my friend, and meet with Alan. First experience to meet Financial Planner that not selling any products in the first meeting. First question that I remembered "What is my goal in nearby years, so we can plan now" (kinda like this ?). Now, felt not like a client-consultant, but more friend with Alan and Wan Chee. I have friends now that I can discuss for finance-goal and life plan-goal in detail now since I'm lack in this area. They give such input and recommendation for my consideration.
