I would like to thank the instructor Liping and the team at Sew Fun for their patience, kindness and the amount of knowledge they imparted. The studio is super cool. We learnt to sew a pair of pants and a dress. Classes were well structured without being stiff. We learnt how to trace and cut material, how to sew a zipper, how to use a sewing machine, even had a "field trip" to choose and learn about . Liping answered all our questions. The atmosphere was very friendly and easy going. Thank you.
M	Maddie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended the Basic Sewing Class for 5 weeks, with some bits of basic knowledge of sewing machine and sewing. My teacher was Zen, she is very warm and friendly, making me feel more at ease when I first went to class. I learned a lot about sewing, and there was so much that was being covered, from making a simple pouch to a bucket bag and a gusset tote bag. My skills were all polished by the time we finished. I was also a much more confident sewist at the end of the course. The things that we learnt are applicable to the things that we use (like making a simple tote bag), it is a course filled with lifelong skills. I'm very thankful to Zen who was being patient throughout and gave my friend and I many tips on how we can improve more. I enjoyed myself so much that I continued signing up for the intermediate course afterwards :)

They have a well thought out, step by step curriculum that helped me feel confident about using a sewing machine. I made many mistakes along the way, but there was always a patient teacher waiting to help, re-explain, and give tips. And we got to make a bunch of cute bags along the way. I highly recommend this place!

Taught by 2 experienced and extremely patient instructors, Liping and Zen, I learnt a lot about working with a sewing machine - accurately sewing using good techniques and having the practise with fabric to eventually sew garments...was something beyond me (I thought). am now planning to buy more material to sew other dresses. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to pick up a skill and feel a sense of accomplishment and mastery!

We sewed a pants and a dress.It was a small class size of 4 yet there were 2 instructors, Liping and Zen who were consistently there to guide us and reassure us. They were both patient, encouraging and excellent teachers. They admin side was also very thorough and efficient. They gave step by step guides on how to proceed with using the Skills future credits.

This class is beyond basic sewing, and the techniques are more practical and homeware based, not clothing although they offer many courses with different focuses and skill levels. I chose this course as I had no prior experience with a sewing machine, and by the end of the class I had made several totes and bags, many of them reversible. All materials were generously provided. Zen was an excellent teacher, made a most efficient use of time and I feel I learnt heaps in just 4 full days (this was the "express" course). I am now sewing comfortably at home using the skills and tips I acquired at Uyii.
