Below message from Mummy Yummy's Facebook page dated 28-Dec-2018 : Hello friends of Mummy Yummy, today we are introducing our 3 certified trainees to everyone. For bros and sis who have been coming to our shop for your breakfast or lunch, they should be no strangers to you. After 18 months of training, they have successfully mastered Mummy Yummy’s Fried Bee Hoon, Laksa and Lor Mee. Alvin, the elder Brother among them has decided to step up and follow in Mummy Yummy’s path of giving back to the society thru their way. They will be running a vegetarian hawker stall at 503 West Coast Drive stall no. 34. They will be selling Mummy Yummy’s Fried Bee Hoon, Laksa and Lor Mee under the supervision of Mdm Lai (one of our mummies). As some of you may know, Mummy Yummy has a homeless project running and with this new stall, we will be filtering suitable homeless people to work in our shenton shop. Train them up and build up their confidence in trusting themselves that they actually can have a better life instead of wandering around on the streets living the lifestyle of a vagrant. Once they are trained and successfully mastered our signature items and ready to step out and be a hawker, Alvin and his brothers will guide them on how to tender from NEA, renovate the stall, apply for utilities, give them the suppliers list, in short set up the stall for them to start their new life. The most important part is paying for all the setting up costs for the “ex-homeless” “new self-employed” and let them run the stall for themselves. Alvin’s stall will commence business on 2nd January 2019 and we hope everyone can help to support the stall and make the business prosperous so that we can achieve the goal of “teach you to fish is always better than giving you a fish”. In this project Mummy Yummy’s target is for the homeless people willing to give themselves a chance for a better life. How big this project can work out will definitely depends on how everyone think of this idea. We have prepared the hardwares, now we need the softwares. That is EVERYONE’s full support on the stall. If you are nearby that area and you need a meal, please give them your warmest support. For all PHV bros and Taxi Drivers, Mummy Yummy has specially reserved a place in our hearts for you because one of our fathers is also a Taxi driver. When you visit the stall at Ayah Rajah Market for your meals, just show your Vocational License to them and they will give you a small discount for your meals. Last but not least, once the stall is in stable profit zone, they will follow our Pioneer Project of giving free meals to everyone above the age of 60 year old. In 2019, Mummy Yummy present this new form of social service to everyone out there and we sincerely hope through the strength and kindness of the public masses, the model will work out smoothly so that the homeless group of people can see the salvation to their undesired way of lifestyle taking a turn for the better! Mummy Yummy wishes everyone a Happy and meaningful 2019 ahead. One for all, All for one!

It is a place where the less fortunate and low income families are welcome to have a free meal. For oters, you can have your meal while doing a good deed at the same time. There is no fixed pricing and anyone can do a little bit extra paying a bit more as paying it forward for their meals.

First outlet for V4Vegetarian. Not only the pay it forward concept is wonderful, so is the food! Pay it forward donations for your meals help those hungry in the community. Love this concept! Patronizing them would mean a meal for the less fortunate. It's a win/win!

First time trying out the vegeterian meal. Food was good, the portion was filling and had quite a bit of ingredients. Was taken aback by the shop owner's reply to pay any amount you wish for the food. This is my first encounter ever, that such businesses even exist! Felt the initiative was really nice and heart warming. If you can afford pay more for the food:) The pay it forward scheme is really good. I will patronize more often to show my support even though I am not a vegeterian. Heard that the chicken rice is not bad as well can't wait to try it?
