If there is zero star rating, I would give them zero. Totally disappointing with their service. Our cargo had been delayed without notifying us in advance. Arrival date has been changing multiple times. The lady who has been managing our cargo shipment in Singapore does not seem to know what to do except writing emails requesting us to contact the local authority for their vehicle parking without any information given. Isnt it their job? Despite of this, we have been requested to pay $1k deposit in the event that their vehicle is booked by police. Doesnt it make sense ?

1. After much research of companies to assist our relocation from Singapore to Melbourne (in November 2021), my husband & I chose VANPAC (in August 2021) over & above similar businesses because of the so called “competitive rate” they offered us. In retrospect, rather than hook us in, this should’ve been the first warning sign ⚠️ 2. Once the initial deposit was paid & we were “locked in”, we were informed by VANPAC that we were required to pay an additional $7,500 in order for us to have a “confirmed” date for our personal effects to be on a ship bound for Melbourne. Despite this not sitting well with us, we had no option but to fork out, or lose our $17,234 that had already been paid upfront. When we did the math, this now turned out to be more expensive than all the other companies we had initially decided not to go with due to cost considerations. VANPAC waited until we were well and truly locked in before they threw this bombshell at us. 3. The packing was scheduled over 3 days: 1st, 2nd, 3rd November 2021. On day one, no packers turned up at the scheduled time & we received no call from VANPAC to advise of any delays. After several attempts to contact them, our telephone call was attended to hours later. We were informed that there had been a "change of plan" & that our packing had been postponed indefinitely. How is it possible that a company takes our money (not once but twice), makes a commitment to deliver a service, and then on the day decides (with no advance notification to the customer) to pull the plug? The VANPAC representative we spoke to was inconsiderate & insensitive to say the least; despite me literally having a breakdown over the phone trying to explain that we were surrendering our rented property to the landlord on the 6th of November & leaving Singapore on the 9th of November 2021 (ALL our plans were based on their commitment to the job). So here we were, literally at their mercy. I was repeatedly told “nothing can be done” and that VANPAC would “try" to have a "new dates” locked in within a week or two! Clearly no empathy, or even worse was the fact that she was not listening to/not hearing what I was saying. 4. In absolute despair, my husband headed to the VANPAC HQ in Singapore & refused to leave until he had personally met with the General Manager to explain what was going on & how we were being treated abominably despite having by now paid top dollar for their services. To date we have received no justification for this “hiccup” - a “hiccup” for them, but an incident for me that tested my resilience to the core and definitely shortened my life. 5. After much to & fro, it was agreed that the 3 day packing job would now be done in 2 days: 2nd & 3rd of November 2021. In order to make this a possibility, I secured boxes, masking tape & marker pens & spent all night packing 22 boxes of personal effects. 6. The packing team arrived the next morning & my husband & I worked tirelessly alongside them for 2 days straight - NOT something I saw myself doing when we forked out a large chunk of change with the expectation that this would be a seamless & stress-free experience (NOT)! 7. At midnight on the day two my husband & I heaved a sigh of relief. We believed we could now put this terrible experience behind us. 8. Unfortunately not so! The saga continues. More emails to & fro & more unreasonable demands for $$$. 9. It’s very disappointing & frustrating to be treated with such unprofessionalism & disrespect by a company we put our complete trust in based on their word & commitment. When a company undertakes a job, they should not forget that we, THE CUSTOMER, don’t have unlimited funds & should not be put over a barrel. Why? Just because they can! 10. SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!

Moved to Lyon in August, and my goods just got delivered earlier in the month. Got their name from the Ambassade de France, and price was very reasonable, considering the many contracts I received. Freight was delayed for almost 2 weeks in Singapore, there were additional storage charges, which were made known to us before we Accepted their contract, so can't really blame them.

The worst company to have. Margaret the lady is absolutely unprofessional in handling her job and made a pregnant lady pick up boxes. Not only that as promised instead of 4 people only 2 people were sent who lost our tool box and did not help in keeping the stuff. It’s a nightmare to have them . Will be comparing about them Everywhere so that no one else faces this problem.

Watch out hidden costs while they hold your container. To short my story, the containers arrived in 2 months(while waiting no schedule updates unless I contacted and ask) and paid extra 3000$ from the initial quotation which was promised no additional costs. Look for other more expensive company will do smoother job.

We used Vanpack to relocate from Singapore to Norway. Unfortunately the experience was not in line with our expectations. The initial offer seemed very attractive and we chose them both because of competitive pricing and perceived professinalism. However, the move was a real hassle. Information sharing and project management were very poorly executed. We had to follow up our self in all matters and regular updates were not given. In addition we had to talk with several people (depending on the question), as we were not given a specific project manager or responsible person. Also, they added additional cost all the way. The movers in Norway did a very good job thought. I would not trust Vanpack again.

Double charged for shuttle service that I'd already paid for and threatened to withhold delivery if I didn't cough up more money. Used time pressure tactics to force payment (emails sent with orders to reply "asap"). I hired a US-based relocation firm to handle my move from the US to Singapore. Paid for full service door to door relocation including unpacking as well as an additional US$450 for shuttle service (apartments in Singapore have narrow streets and can't allow container access). Was hounded by Vanpac to pay an extra S$401.25 for the shuttle I'd already paid for or they wouldn't deliver and I could end up getting charged even more if my belongings had to be held in storage. I'm honestly not sure if this was an internal miscommunication (in which case extra minus points for poor communication) or if it's a scam tactic to squeeze customers for more money. I hope that they will clarify and I'll be able to amend my review.

To all the reviewers who have written of nightmarish experiences with Vanpac, let me share that I had to take them to the Small Claims Tribunal (SCT) for unjustified charges and buccaneering business practices and I am glad that I got every single cent of unjustified monies I paid them back. Same as with the experiences of other reviewers, they did not inform when parcels had arrived / were held up, they tried to hold my parcels ransom and conjured up extra warehouse handling and storage charges and demanded that these be paid for before they could schedule delivery of my parcels. If faced with the same problems, I’ll suggest users who have been unfortunate to encounter Vanpac should take actions against them like taking them to the SCT or to CASE. My review and others' and Vanpac's poor ratings on Google reviews should suffice to decide against them already.
