Great place for Chinese home made noodles and dumplings! Located in a coffee shop at Marine Parade. Good food and affordable prices!

I only tried the XLB. Although I was also thinking of trying the noodles because they looked good too. XLB skin is thin. Almost translucent. Only thing I didn’t quite like was the soup taste. Lacked the umami that I’ve come to expect of this. But overall, a good XLB for this part of Sg.

Guo tie (pan-fried dumplings) were great. The dumpling skin was rolled pretty thin and the filling was meaty and juicy. The lacy bits were perfectly crisp too. But the rougamo was a massive letdown. The pastry has obviously been sitting around, hard and stale. The entire rougamo was lukewarm.

Ordered: zha jiang mian, dan dan mian and guo tie Noodles is al dente, perfectly done. It just hits the spot. Just wish that the sauce is more punchy. Dan dan mian was a better choice. Special mention to their guo tie! Unlike most hawker china guo tie, it is not deep fried. Done the proper way, it is nicely pan fried, and the skin has just the right amt of crisp and rigt amt of chew.

Travelled all the way in the rain from Little India to try. Very grateful. One of the best wanton and noodle I have tried. I ordered Red Chili Dumpling Lamian $4.5 and Fried dumplings $5 (10 pieces). The noodle is springy which I like. The chili is refreshing. The fried dumplings are crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The coffee shop is clean, lots of fresh air, and not crowded. Highly recommended.

Extremely value for money and will not disappoint! Ordered the red chilli dumplings, xiao long bao, meat sandwich and shanghai la mian. Red Oil Chili Dumplings: Extremely flavourful and just hits the spot in spicy dumplings with vinegar. Very worth it for huge dumplings that were 10 for $5! Meat Sandwich: Pastry was flaky, with thick cuts of meat inside. Good for on the go. $4 Shanghai La Mian: Liked the light soup as a contrast to the heavy soupy and spicy dumplings we ordered and the noodles were very good quality for it’s price, thick enough, al dente and had very good mouthfeel! $4.50 i think Xiao Long Bao: Really decent for hawker centre! skin was thin and was packed with so much soup. $5 for 6. Would definitely return again to try other dishes and recommend others to come too :)

Here’s how I take my fried dumplings. I bite off the top to reveal the meat then pour in chilli sauce, Chinkiang vinegar (yellow label) and only Chinkiang, top with shredded ginger, and pop the whole thing in one go. Omg damn shiok. Noodles also shiok. I came here because of the 8days review and I am not disappointed, even after queuing and waiting 25min for my food. Shiok. Returned again with family and ordered the usual. Added dumpling noodle soup, broth was light yet nice. The crispy pork bun was slightly doughy so we’re not too keen on that. Both bowl of noodles were too soft this time. Not al dente. Overall still shiok lah.

Cheap and good Chinese food! The 拉面 is springy and soft. Spicy wanton is tasty and not too over powering. 卤肉拉面 meat is soft and tender, complimented with savoury soup. Definitely worth coming over to try the food!
