I always love Wild Rice productions and their flair for making theatre relevant to the Singaporean political landscape and the masses, with their cheeky brand of humour. I remember being blown away with my first ever Wild Rice production of George Orwell's Animal Farm at Raffles Hotel and have been coming back for more ever since. If anybody can make Orwell fun, it's Wild Rice for sure. If I have friends who roll their eyes at how they think going to plays are a pretentious affair, I'll bring them to a Wild Rice show so they'll be convinced that not all theatre productions are stiff and boring. One of my ex-es actually reached out to me saying he's been going to more plays now because I brought him to a production of Aladdin while we were dating. I take pride and credit that he's gotten a lot more cultured because I bought him a ticket to a theatre production! It's also interesting how Wild Rice has been a part of my family's growth. From bringing my then baby brother to kid-friendly productions like Cinderel-LAH! to him bringing me to their most recent showing of the delightful F*ghag starring the iconic Pamela Oei. I highly recommend checking out any Wild Rice productions!

Went to Wild Rice to watch Straight Acting and was really impressed by the skill of the actors and actresses. The play was funny, heartwarming and also helped me reflect on my own experiences. Would definitely return for another show.

Absolute blast of an evening with the Wild Rice family - you do feel like you’re part of a community here in the theatre, and I was extremely proud of the work being done here. Great productions that speak universal messages but maintain a local touch.

It was such a fantastic experience for me at Wild Rice - Performance Art Theater today. First, the theater is nice, clean, and well managed with extremely friendly staff, not to mention the unique architecture of the theater. It is located right in Funan center, 4th floor, quite easy to find. The stage is quite close to the audience so that you can even feel the movement of costumes and listen to the breath of the cast. You will be surrounded by the cast from four directions, which creates such a special interaction with the audience. The chair is quite comfortable, but I just wish the arm parts are a little bit higher ; )))))). Yet so far so good. I was there to watch the latest show Tartuffe: The imposter. Luckily for me, I was one of the first audiences to witness this show. For those who have heard about Moliere as well as Tartuffe, this version will blow your mind with a few twists, compared to the original masterpiece. The cast - just perfecto - they are extremely talented. I can feel they put all of their efforts into this show. Well, it has been two years since they last stepped on the stage due to COVID. I remembered at the end of the show, the whole theater was lost in a gigantic wave of applause. I saw the cast crying, I believe they have been missing the stage so much. Hence, if you have a chance, please come and support them. TBH, you will have a good ROI when you invest your money on this show ; )))))))))))) I was so into the show that I did not take any picture for you guys. I only have one pic before the stage. But, it is better to see it by yourself, isn't it? FYI, Tartuffe: the imposter runs from 7 April until the end of the month. The cast includes: Ivan Heng, Benjamin Chow, Pam Oei, Oon Shu An, Jo Tan, Shane Mardjuki, Brendon Fernandez, and Dennis Sofian. P/S: I am not a staff there so if you need more information, you can visit Wild Rice's social media such as Facebook or Instagram. All the posts related to Tartuffe will be there for your reference. I will definitely watch the show againnnn. Who want to go with me? P/S1: I just came back from the really really last show of Tartuffe. It was great as usual and even betterrrrrr. Hoping Tartuffe will be back next year so you guys can enjoy it. Ref: (1) First picture: Wild Rice Theater.

I came here for Straight Acting, great comedy! Made you think, laugh and cry. It is a small theater, even though I brought the cheapest ticket I can see the actors' face clearly. The Mom said mandarin in the show and they provided subtitles for that. Highly recommend to take friends or partner to laugh together.

Had an enjoyable time and this play attracted a full house the day I attended. Nothing beats a packed house atmosphere, and the cast members revelled in that. It was colourful, it was fun and everyone had a good time on stage. Pretty enjoyable overall with a strong cast and standouts for me were Benjamin Chow's Tartuffe and Ivan Heng's Orgon. Glad I caught this local production. Kudos to everyone involved in this adaptation. Cannot wait to see what else they have in store for us.

A small theatre in Funan. The seats are clean and the staff were professional. Watched Straight acting. Very comedic with amazing cast and storyline. This play really shows how the Arts is more than just an entertainment. Overall loved the show and my experience at Wild Rice Theatre.
