β β β β β I don't do pastries nor am I into it but it looks decent. The establishment has a mom-and-pop feel to it but do not let that distract you to the sheer quality of the soon kueh which they sell.
Interestingly enough, they seem established and recognised in relative measure to have participated in a Jewish festival before. While I did not get to meet the founder of Wonderyam Confectionery Pte Ltd, I am sure she would have been an adventurous and prospecting personality, just as her shop suggests.

β β β β β A confectionary shop situated inconspicuously amongst a row of shops. Not much human traffic on a Saturday morning. But staff could be seen busy making pastry. They have 12 different types of ang ku kuihs, several types of nonya and teochew rice kuih. Worth giving a try.

β β β β β I was recommended by my friend about this shop's ang ku kuey and pastries. There was only me in the shop but I waited for 10 mins to be served reluctantly by a lady in her fifties.
The pastries and ang ku kuey was nothing to rave about but ordinary .
I strongly do not recommend this shop.

β β β β β Bought their mini AKK to get a taste of 6 flavor all in a small pack out of their 12. As it is smaller in regular size, the skin is thicker on the outside and the filing is not too sweet. Thatβs why I find it is still ok and itβs the mini size I wonβt find guilt in having them all. But I do find coffee flavor is a-bit weird for me. I also bought their yam & carrot cake & soon kueh. Overall, still worth a try and support of a local shop. Should be trying their yam pastries/mooncake next, itβs their signature.
