Xin Hua Lou - 848 Yishun Street 81

Terrible service from the cashier and staff. It was my first time and I thought they are a normal zi char store. So I ordered beef hor fan. The cashier (Chinese lady) gave me a disgusted looking n said they don’t sell beef and turned her back against me. Then I looked at the menu and ordered lor mee. She notified me that it’s ready but I didn’t know the collection is a small counter behind her. I went over and passed my receipt to a Chinese man (wearing their uniform). He looked at it and said my order is not ready and walked away though there was a packet of noodles on the table. The cashier turned, saw the noodles and pushed the noodles to me while mumbling that is my order. It was such a terrible experience to buy from that stall and I won’t be visiting again.

The lou mee and the stir fry kailan are yummy! Paid $56 for 5 pax. A good zichar store as the dishes tasted quite consistent for the few times we were there. Better than average zichar store.
