Ordered 4 sardine and 4 potato curry puffs from this stall. Really friendly people at the stall and the curry puffs were really good. Old school taste which got me reminiscing about my childhood days ? You have to try it!

My eating buddy agreed that it is strangely addictive. Yes it is oily. It is also tad salty. But somehow the combination hit home. Couldn't stop munching on it. They are smallish ...and at 60cents per piece don't be expecting it to be packed with proteins. Will return for sure. Epik with soto ayam sounds divine.

I love the epok-epok here and would keep asking my husband to drive from the west all the way here but yesterday when i bought it, the sardine epok-epok has too much onions! I guess it is inconsistent now base for the reviews.

Gave a try as I saw Chef Bob went here before. I'm not sure if the standards have dropped or it has always been like this but I'm certain to never buy anything here again. The reviewers who gave good reviews obviously never try a truly good epok-epok before because the epok-epok I ate from this shop the skin is crispy but the sardines amount weren't consistent. Some is what we called epok-epok angin (air) because there's barely any sardines inside. I've tasted better (see second picture to believe and HOW AN EPOK-EPOK SHOULD BE LIKE!) and unfortunately it comes from those who aren't selling. Oh wells. I shall continue hunting for a fully filled satisfying epok-epok.

Epok epok is very nice, cheap at only 50 cents! I don’t usually like sardine curry puff but this one is good. Queue can get long but moves quite fast, except when their current batch run out of stock and have to wait around 30mins for next batch. Mee soto a bit pricey but is also good, Chili very spicy so I recommend don’t put too much

I used to like this curry puff but recently the standard had dropped. It is so VERY OILY. This oil is soaking on the whole pastry even after using paper to remove it. Even the whole paper bag used to pack the puff was also soak with oil. It is so unhealthy to eat now.

Both have their merits - Quality sometimes not consistent as may not have sufficient sardine or onions in some cases - Rather oily too Food portion / Price: Small epok epok at $0.6/piece (last year was $0.5/piece, thank you inflation!) Crowd: Always expect a crow but the queue moves fast Payment: Sg QR accepted

Quality of the epok-epok sold here is very inconsistent. I used to frequent this place a lot (at least 2-3 times a week). On 3 different occasions, the epok-epok sardine lacked salt in its sardine fillings. I ended up throwing the epok-epok away. Sometimes, the epok-epok sardine is filled with too much sliced onions.. which is a total disappointment. Sometimes, it is too spicy. But half of the time, the epok-epok crust is pretty good and sardine filling is on point; a good balance of sardines, onion and seasoning. But the lack of QC, at 60 cents a piece, you’re better off buying it elsewhere.
