โ โ โ โ โ Food general good and tasty. Especially like pork knuckle, chilli crab, drunken prawn, chai poh tofu and salted egg fish skin.

โ โ โ โ โ I takeaway 2 crabs on 18 April around 9.30pm. However I found that there is huge difference between the texture of the two crabs when I started eating.
One of the crab meat significantly tends to be more firm ,bouncy and fibrous than the other. The other one obviously taste mushy and does not have the delicate flavour of fresh crabs should have.

โ โ โ โ โ Happened to chance upon this restaurant while walking along MacPherson. Was lured in by the crab promo which turned out to be really legit and good. Crabs were fresh and tasty. Hotplate beancurd was also awesome. Glad to have found such a gem! Cannot wait to come back with the family to eat the crabs and try out more stuff from the menu.

โ โ โ โ โ Highly recommended! Not expensive for good quality chinese cuisine. Fresh seafood and wide varieties of choices.

โ โ โ โ โ Old restaurant serving nice food that are reasonably priced. Went on weekday nite thus not very crowded but still having a good number of tables occupied.
They are running a promotion of 2crabs at $35. Real value for money. And the chilli crab is super nice. Not too sweet and with correct level of spiciness. Paired with the deep fried bun is perfect.
The other 2 dishes we ordered Garlic Pork Ribs and Hotplate Beancurd are also very tasty.
Something to recommend is the lime juice with sour plum drink. Itโs really nice!! Must order.

โ โ โ โ โ We tried yi jia previously in their previous store which is now closed down. Had fond memories from that shop.
Went again to try their food. The food was good. The cai Po tofu is just the right taste. Not too salty or sweet. Same as the egg. The curry fish head is OK, but not as impressive as last time. The curry is now more to the watery side and has less kick to it.
One thing I want to comment is that they served the prawn chips and peanuts to us without asking us. Basically just put the chips and peanuts down on the table, while we were discussing on what to order, and left. When we later told a waitress that we did not want it, the waitress told us that we MUST let them know when they first serve it to us.
I would suggest the waitress that it is the business's responsibility to ask us whether we want it or not, before serving. Not just serve things to us blindly and expect immediate response. That's just a weird mentality.
I rate 4 for the food, and 2 for the poor service mentality.

โ โ โ โ โ Main dishes were filling and rich, very brothy and fresh with generous portions to share and enjoy. Although in humble settings, the staff continue to stay attentive with frequent plate changes and refilling of chysanthemum tea! Price is reasonable given the quality of the food but dessert menu can be upgraded!

โ โ โ โ โ Food is very good & tasty. Sharkskin soup has the authentic old school taste with mock fins. Love it! Yam basket is tasty though a tat too thin for me ?. Overall, it's a very good value meal. Staff are friendly & helpful. Will come again the third, fourth & more times ???
