Conducive and peaceful environment for learning, teachers have the hearts to teach :) I love it here :D It might not be a top school but it is a school where they not only teach you how to study and do well in exams, but they also teach you how to have a heart to care for others.

Dont recommend this school as teacher slacking, do makeup, paint nails, play phone but no time mark our homework or worksheets, remembered having a test which this math teacher L _ _ _ _ claims that it is graded but after few months havent mark and return our test. This teacher likes to be fierce and scold students for no good reasons. Graduated student, wont recommend u here!

Back then, I was wondering why I ended up in YYSS despite wanting other schools. After my schooling there, I can say I have no regrets on choosing YYSS. During my time in YYSS, I was given a plethora of opportunities which moulded me into a more confident person, such as CCA performance opportunities. I was spurred to push my limits beyond what I thought I was capable of. Along the way, most of my teachers and peers supported me and continually motivated me. The school has a Bossaball mat which during my time was opened to people to rent because not many places have Bossaball mats. I also remember we had a large gym which had many appropriate equipment. Although this is a neighbourhood school, there was effort to give us specialised facilities for various tasks. There were also many conducive spots with natural ventilation and lighting to self-study which feels like a rarity for me these days. There are many varying opinions being thrown around about the school. I have heard many different opinions from many different peers. Personally, I did face many adversities, both from social and academic struggles. It wasn't easy to overcome them, but it was a valuable experience.

Graduated couple years ago. Honestly it's a pretty decent school if you surround yourselves with the right people and have good teachers that care about you, which in my experience most teachers are fun, patient and willing to take their time off to teach you after school. Tho honestly there's quite a bit of troubled kids especially in NA and NT. No crimes or anything but they really be rude and act like gangsters. All teachers and discipline masters are nice too... If you act like a good kid and follow the rules. If you commit just 1 mistake, or you don't listen to instruction and they don't explain to you why you should follow, especially in ccas/when you're a prefect, expect scoldings without even listening your explanations and a change in how they treat you. Malay store auntie overcharges chicken nuggets(?) and sells it for 3 for $1 when 1 is only 30¢ and if you were to take their plastic utensil without buying anything from them they will lash out at you whereas other stores would just let you take it. Basically just study hard and be a good student, end up in 3E1/2 and don't get involve with unnecessary drama and you'll be fine.

Graduated from this school in 2020. Honestly speaking from my experience,this school isn't so bad lah~maybe except having some rude and pretentious juniors who might talk nasty things behind your backs,and also some NT kids who are always noisy & rowdy and causing troubles around the school. Overall,most of the teachers are approachable,friendly and willing to help you after school if you need extra assistance in explaining certain things that you don't understand. Honourable mentions,this school best Science teachers for Physics is really Mr Alvin Peh,aka HOD of Science. For Chemistry will be Mrs Tan RQ and Ms Ham. For Math,Mr Yeo WM and Mdm Latha is the best. For English,most are teachers are still okay.For Humanities,Ms Ng HL and Ms Ng LR is the best of the best man,always providing so much useful notes in memorising every topics in SS,History & Geography.For POA,Mr Leong is good as well as he always prepare a lot of good note materials to study and practice before any exams.For MT,Mdm Wang XY,Mr Ong TY,and HOD of MT Mr Koh CK are all good in teaching Chinese,with the guidance from them,you can see your results improve by a lot if you work hard in practising compo and CL paper 2,and it also includes CL oral. One highlight point about all of the subject teachers in this school is that they will provide a lot of study materials like various useful notes and practice papers for you to practice and memorise before National Exams,'O' Levels and 'N' Levels. To add on, this school disciplinary system is quite strict always have regular spot checks on bags,nails and hair and also attire in the morning by either form teachers or disciplinary teachers,and DM are friendly to you as long as you behaves well. Have lots of memorable memories from this school,it is a good school as long as you mingle with the right people.

this sch is a very bad school. Wouldn't recommend. I am a student and there's this teacher name Mr Tan BK from the PE department who threw a ball directed at a student and he missed so badly as he can't aim. I recommend him to use aimlabs to train his aim. he treat us like p1 kids and ask us to line up 2 lines outside class. then there's this teacher called F_____ B____. She likes to come up with super retarded school rules. For example, she gives us detention for not bringing trace together token. L____ is another teacher who gets angry at students for walking slow. not my fault i got short legs. NExt we have a teacher called Sim WJ for shouting at us for no reason. I seriously gonna go deaf. Next, we have the cca. pls do not join concert band. Band says that their cca days is thurs and friday. But, they will make u stay back on wed and come back on saturday for practice. Waste of time. If u want to quit band, they(mr faizal) will talk to u for 1 hr to convince u to not quit and if u get the form, they will not sign the form. THey also make u do unreasonable things for no reason.

It's decent school. Quite low budget though as not alot of fans and I suffer like everyday from the heat. Plus alot of classrooms don't have locker. Only the sec 2 have and well.. not many cca choices that are good just alot of boring things. Some teachers and students rude calling me CB and teachers just angry for dumb reasons and the canteen food is decent even tho the snacks at the western stall is over price Example 3 nugget=1$ 1 small chicken cutlet=1 But the fries are only 1$ and taste better then mcd So far I have been in this sch for 5 months and I guess it's fine. I do like the fact that they have a koi pond and there is a meme where someone who jump in the pond and for a low school that is easy to get in I guess it is decent and not too bad even though not my fav as it is kinda miserable here during art and pe and someteachers just do too much in a bad way. Also you must put your phone in a basket before school starts and it is quite bad to do so cause it is easy to steal the phone. And also not good because we can't use search or anything like to take pictures memories and notes.
