Comfort food from Shanghai, finally rice is on the menu and the free flow minced garlic is a must if you bring you date there and prepare for first kiss

Flavourful yet not overpowered mala soup base is the highlight! Not as strong as those I tried in China, taste like mala laksa toward local taste. Ingredients are fresh, generous garnishing. Will try tomato and mushroom soup base soon. Highly recommended!

[Zhang Liang Mala Tang] Tried the outlet at Pickering Street and heard that it's actually better than the one at Bugis! Just like other mala stores, you get to pick the ingredients you want in a huge bowl, but what's different is it's the soup version here, and you get to pick your soup base from 3 options: Mala, Tomato, Mushroom. Mala Tang (prices vary based on how much you take per bowl) This is probably the must-try here, and I'd reco trying this first before you get other soup bases. Honestly this is my first time having Mala Tang, but on first look I'd say their broth looks really creamy, and I'd have thought it's Laksa based solely on its appearance. But it tastes nothing like Laksa, and instead is pretty creamy, with spice being really mild with 小辣 (xiao la), and not too numbing as well. It's not too bad I'd say, and an interesting one, since it's my first time having creamy mala. Tomato Soup Base Again, the prices will vary, and this base is kinda similar to HaiDiLao's, in the sense it's the really thick and rich kind of tomato broth. This base would defo be for tomato lovers. NGL I have nothing else to compare to, considering its my first time having Mala Tang, since I've only ever eaten stir-fry/ dry Mala. The prices ain't cheap too, but personally feel it's a unique experience, and although it's not mindblowingly good, it's still a pretty comforting one esp on a cold rainy day, and worth trying once. * Total was about $56 for 3 pax (2 large bowls), which amounts to $18.70 per pax. Overall Rating: 8/10

Pay based on weight, min 300g, price about $10-$15 for one pax. Decide your own level of "ma" and "la", with additional condiments like sesame paste, sesame oil, green onion, coriander, etc. Food quality is good and enjoyed my meal. Will bring friends here next time

one of the best Ma La Tang that I’ve tasted in Singapore. Soup base is elegantly spicy but not too overwhelming. Ingredients are well prepared and cut into fine portions. Staffs are very warm and helpful.

Delicious 麻辣烫, was surprised by the soup when it came. Randomly walked into this stall, tasted their food and loved it. Am a fan of strong flavoured China Chinese food. This is on the lighter side but still tastes good, has a tinch of spiciness in it. Price is based off overall weight. They offer a wide range of fresh ingredients and a good selection of condiments available.

I've been here twice already and it's great! Pay based on weight, you can choose a variety of vegetables, noodles and meat. So far, the dry takeaway was great, while dining in with the soup option (mala) works too! Just remember to tune the spice level to your liking, and maybe the amount of peanut sauce so it doesn't feel like satay gravy. If dining in, advice to pick an indoor spot as it'll get hot with all that soup.
