★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you step in this restaurant, you already feel like you crossed the border to China. The people are really nice and personable. Their kitchen was already closed but i brought some foreign friends with me so they went out of their way to open the kitchen and cooked some skewers for us. Taste was not compromised, really felt the same taste as when i was in Guangzhou. Amazing!

Please don't tone down the spice n keep pumping out awesome North-Eastern China food =) must order dishes are 口水鸡, 辣子鸡, lamb with cumin, all the 烤肉串, and the star of the show: 烤鱼 - feel free to add on all your 豆腐皮 黑木耳 宽粉 黄帝苗 etc to accompany the very VERY big n fresh fish.
We had a huge feast amongst 6 of us with freely flowing beer and the total bill only came up to $200. Very value for money AND tasty! Staff are friendly, too.
As with every restaurant, there are some dishes that just aren't their specialty. Would caution against ordering their 夫妻肺片. Too gamey even for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Strongly suggest to change the waitress, attitude very bad. I am a regular here and I have observed many times the way she talked to customers are consider unfriendly (like people owe her money), not to mention how she replied to me when I asked her for something nicely. Totally different from the previous Da Jie who is very friendly and nice! It’s badly affecting the eating experience there no matter how tasty their food is!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the first time here, had their mapo tofu 麻婆豆腐, lotus root, shredded potatoes, 回锅肉, spicy chicken, etc. All were pretty good, mala taste is quite authentic and can sometimes numb your mouth/tongue. Had a sudden craving for pickled fish 酸菜鱼 today so went over, not too sour and spicy though still taste pretty good. The shredded cabbage is one of the best I had in Singapore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible attitude from staff and was ignored umpteenth time. Had their dishes here a couple years ago, and the staffs WERE great - no idea what happened. Can find better, cheaper and greater service for Mala at the Hawker Center just next to it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found a gem at 71 Kallang Bahru. Sells Chinese food. Chef helps to select ingredients for mala, no more suspicious pricing based on weight. Mala was flavourful and decently priced ($17).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall food was above average! Enjoyed the dinner. Came in around 9pm and there wasn’t much crowd. The laziji was really crispy and addictive! Only thing is food can get really spicy ? for mala recommend to get Xiao La.
but all in all, it was a good meal and would definitely return again for the food!
