★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried the masala since you can’t get it anywhere else. Very robust flavour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Right balance of spices and you don’t need chilli. Would be even more delectable if it’s a bit more crispy/fried.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1st time trying the masala carrot cake is really good. i also like the white carrot cake is crispy on the outside and soft from the inside both cook with veggie oil. so anyone can eat it.

Must say that it is quite a decent plate of carrot cake, pieces are larger than most, generous with chai po, and very affordable price point. Missing a bit of wok hei imo, but very interesting rendition of the masala version!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The look of the stall may not give you the wow feeling but the fried cake undoubtedly will blow you away. I have been searching for chunky black carrot cake for years and I finally found another one (the other one I know is at Tiong Bahru Market Food Centre). This definitely reminds me of nostalgic old-style carrot cake of the 80s and somehow it’s even better. The carrot cake is so soft with generous amount of garlic and cai poh. It is sweet and yet very balanced in the taste. Very very satisfying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fried carrot cake is nice. $3.50 for black and white combo. The carrot cske is soft with good amount of chai po (preserved radish). Dark soy sauce has nice aroma and lightly sweetened. Nice overall wok hei.
