Paid $95 to repair misalignment of main door. Texted Mr 鸿 1 week in advance to arrange date and time for repair. He quoted me $80 per trip and extra $15 for replacement of 4 hinges. However, on that day, he didn't show up after the appointment time. When I texted him, he told me he had forgotten my appointment and suggested to postpone it 3 days later. After I pressed him to come over regardless how late on that day, he finally showed up 2 hours later. As he was unable to remove some of the screws using his battery-powered screwdriver, he borrowed my flat-head and philips screwdrivers. Just imagined what if I didn't have any screwdrivers. He removed only the top most hinge, chiselled the hinge area and installed back the old hinge and screws saying the old hinge and screws are stronger than the new ones. After completion of repair, he told me to pay $95. Since he didn't replace any of the old hinges, I asked to pay only $80. However, he insisted to collect $95 citing reasons such as chiselling of door and he charged per trip basis. I didn't wish to argue with him and paid up as he provided additional services voluntarily such as tightening other screws and adjusting the door closer. Mr 鸿 would have been given 5 stars if he didn't forget my appointment initially and collected $80 as per his quotation.
