★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived at 625am with the stall lights still switched off but there were already orders ahead of me.
Waited for about 20 mins for my order.
Despite the slight price increase, the $3.80 portion is still big and I couldn’t finished it. The standard is still there for sure but I don’t think I will wait for more than 30 minutes. The queue can get quite long at times. I can see that there were constant streams of customers from that 1 hour I was there.
I remembered I ever dined in at 1130am with only 10 mins waiting time pre-covid. Do plan well in order to avoid waiting too long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Morning trip to one of the best white carrot cake. @618simcarrotcake is known for their lavish chye poh (preserved radish) atop the huge slabs of crispy radish cake wok-fried with eggs.
Be prepared to wait for at least 30min to an hour, and the queue start as early as 7am. But it is definitely worth the wait!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Carrot cake in Yishun. Expect to wait for 30 mins to 1 hour. The place only serve white carrot cake and can have the option to add prawns. Price had increased twice in the past past few years. The carrot cake taste as good when you dabao. The tasty carrot cake come with good texture and is added with good amount of chye poh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gotta be the best fried carrot cake in Spore, at $4 a portion (update as of 1May2022) - now $3.80 for small $4.80 for large), the large serving is good to be shared by two for breakfast.
Generous with eggs and pickled radish, the heavenly combination is painstakingly pan-fried to crispy perfection❤️❤️❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered one plate of white carrot cake at $3.80. 2/3 of the plate was white carrot cake with crispy outer layer and 1/3 of the plate was preserved raddish (chye poh). Together, they combined to give the most flavorful carrot cake. It was almost like a fusion food made up of chwee kway and carrot cake. My new favourite white carrot cake.

The carrot cake is nice and still crispy when eating at home.
Nonetheless, I may go elsewhere for carrot cake due to the long waiting time.

The white carrot cake is soft, indicating care was taken in making the main ingredients. Quality is above average and actually very good for something from a HDB coffee shop. Add an extra egg for $0.50 which realised is needless, the $3.50 eggs is more than enough. The carrot cake is cooked into slabs as seen on photos. Not too oily, just right about everything.
Overall, throughly enjoyed the meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was here at 0630AM and hardly any queue (12 min). Person behind ordered 9 packets so good luck to those behind her ?
If you get here, seriously don't waste your time + stomach, just order the plates with mini prawns as it takes the carrot cake experience to a whole new dimension, don't know what you are missing out on till you have tried
For those commenting about the long wait, did you even witness the painstaking labour each plate takes to cook and prepare? Come early and if don't intend to wait then better still, less queue for the rest of us true customers ?? fyi they are sold out every single day!!!
