With starting prices from $2 and below, this shop serves cheap and affordable dessert soups at the heart of CBD. Do give their signature peanut soup a try. Other desserts served here include tau suan and red bean soup. I ordered the peanut soup with 2 glutinous rice balls (peanut and sesame). The milky and fragrant soup had youtiao pieces in it, providing a pleasant savoriness in contrast to the mildly sweet soup. The rice balls were delightfully soft and chewy as well. Cashless payment is also accepted here. Do drop by before/ during lunch hour as the desserts sell out rather quickly!

Yummy!! This the Best Glutinous Rice Ball that i have tried. The rice ball has a soft and chewy texture that practically melts in your mouth. The black sesame and peanut paste are smooth. The peanut soup base has a nutty fragrance and not too heavy. it is complimented with the savoury and soft, "soaked with peanut soup" youtiao ??

Ah Balling Tang Yuan (SGD $2) @ 75 Peanuts Soup 57. . Not to be confused with the other '75' brand, this stall derived its name from its original and subsequent stall numbers - '75' pre-renovation, and '57' after relocating post-renovation. . For over 30 years, their Chinese Hokkien style peanut soup is prepared by hand daily, boiled for up to 4 hours. . This results in a warm milky white soup, with the peanuts being grainy soft, falling apart in the mouth with addictive nutty sweet flavour. . The glutinous rice balls are soft and sticky with a medium thickness, yielding with a light chew, pairing well with the warm soup. . The black sesame paste is rich and gritty thick, with bold earthy nutty sweet flavour. The peanut paste is rich and grainy chunky, with robust nutty sweet flavour. . Hawker-Owner Peh Cheng Giap, or Ah Nam, also specialises in 2 other traditional old-school desserts (tau suan and red bean soup), and typically begins preparing the desserts at 3am everyday.

Friendly and patient uncle. My 1st visit. Love the sweetness level of the peanut soup, just right for me, and love the tangyuan texture, soft, not too thick and well cooked. Will go back again.

At 1+p.m., only red bean soup left. It’s comforting. Added tang yuan and they were really soft!! There are four tang yuan. 2 peanut and 2 sesame.

The peanuts soup ($1.20) tasted like pure sugar water with very little peanuts. The fact that it was served in disposable plastics even for dine-in added to the disappointment. Uncle was pleasant and hygenic and accepted e-payment though. Other desserts such as red bean brown rice, tau suan and glutinous rice balls were also available.

I was going to get only peanut soup at first but end up getting tang yuan as well. The texture of tang yuan is so great, I want to eat them everyday. The sesame and nuts filling are impressive. The mild taste of peanut soup suits well with sweetness from tang yuan’s filling.

Stumbled upon this stall after lunch. Had the red bean brown rice dessert with Tang yuan (half peanut half sesame). Served hot. Really good! A little sweet but not overpoweringly so in my opinion. Just right. The Tang yuan are soft as well. I would have this for dessert again next time I am in the area.
