β β β β β All food served is good except for the prawn paste chicken wings. The other layer is somewhat like goreng pisang, when i bite into it all the oil oozes out. As if soak in oil, Too oily! The tofu is nice but the serving has been halved compare to the past few times we visited. The picture shown is in large size (tofu). The claypot saltrd fish pork belly is delicious, good to go with rice. Overall worth a revisit.

The asam fish is the crowning glory amongst the dishes here, followed by the Yam ring. The number of places perfecting asam fish seems to be on a decline but over here, they are maintaining their standards well. In the asam fish, fresh fish swims in the gravy with the right consistency, perfect blend of the asam (sour) and slight spicy taste. The spicy sambal belacan condiment on the side adds a good kick to your plate.
Yam ring comes with a crispy texture with generous stuffings which includes mushroom and a thick ginger based sauce that complements the crispness of the yam ring.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating area and also a private room setting.

β β β β β Affordable, tasty tze char food nestled in the neighbourhood that does not put a big hole in the wallet.
We have been patronising the store for a long time since we found out about the store.
Our go-to orders:
1. Salted egg crab - scrumptious, meaty Sri Lankan crab doused in salted egg sauce, which was extremely flavourful and fragrant. Great to have it takeaway - use the leftover sauce for pasta!
2. Garlic pork - deep fried pork goodness, extremely fragrant garlic flavour.
3. Assam fish head - tangy, tinge of sourness that's refreshing and tantalises the tastebuds.
4. French beans with garlic and dried shrimp: full of umami goodness. French beans were crispy and fresh.

β β β β β Uncle introduced us to this restaurant hidden under a hdb block in Jurong west. When we arrived, very unassuming shop front welcomed us and we felt that this place was going to be a hidden gem.
Ordered a variety of dishes and most mentionable was the fish steam boat. Broth was something that we had never tasted before with a tinge of herbal taste to it. Fish used was fresh and the soup was filled with many fresh ingredients, very generous.
We loved the satay as well as it tasted very similar to those that I had during my younger days.
Price point was very acceptable and mass market. Definitely value for the price that we paid, $160 for ten of us at a restaurant. More like a steal.
