Foods not nice. Service was really bad from the cashier.

Over the pass few years I tried to avoid patronising this stall whenever I am there.

First time trying out this zhi char stall. The dark hokkien noodle I ordered cost $4. Average portion with reasonable amount of prawns, pork, fishcake and veggie which were fresh. Based on the menu, other main course tend to be on a high side given it being situated within blocks of HDB apartments.

Ordered and pick 3 crab for my lunch. Surprisingly the crab is not fresh!? Crab meat is sticking onto the shell and one of the crab have smell onto it. I am a fan of crab, but I highly recommend NOT to purchase crab from this seafood stall. Horrible experience.

If I had read these reviews would not patronize. Ordered 3 dishes today and for the price paid, was really disappointed. Price wise is on the high side for ZiChar and long waiting time even though I ordered at 4.40pm which I waited 20mins and not really a lot of customers. Taste wise is also below class. Will avoid.

Had a real bad experience for dinner today! Found a Metal Scrub fragment in my Food and Informed the Zi Char Stall Cashier (China Lady) but her reply was absurd saying it’s clean! Whether it’s clean or dirty as she claims it’s not oily thus her definition is clean and asked me what I want! Point is this cannot be found in food! What if anyone just swallow it? Safe to EAT? When I felt being challenged and wanted to take it back to take picture to email to S-11, she didn’t dare to return it back to me and took it away straight to the kitchen saying will show their Chef! No apology throughout and still ask me if I’ve paid for my food! When I said I did then she just passed me the cash and again didn’t even apologise as if I’m trying to eat something FREE! It’s a real bad experience with the Zi Char Stall and hope their Boss can look into this matter!

Today got one chinese lady wearing blue shirt very bad service. I told her my order is $8 seafood hor fun (medium) and she key in system $11 seafood hor fun (big). I've to inform her to amend it. She served us the utensil and small chilli padi and I also inform her that I want green chilli. Wait a few minutes, food came and the green chilli not here yet. I rather ownself take my own. Seafood hor fun not really nice and service is bad.

appalled by the low ratings so I felt I had to give this review. stumbled upon this place and tried their har cheong kai / prawn paste chicken because this one of the benchmarks I use to gauge the standard of zi char stalls. I can tell you that they have the best har cheong kai in Singapore. the amount of prawn paste flavour on it is insane. and I've tried many famous har cheong kais like the one at Yishun Park hawker centre and Quan Ji at Maxwell food centre. what a gem. their other dishes are good too. I've been ordering from them consistently over the past year. the San Lou Hor Fun had some wok-hei and was really tasty. fried vermecilli one of my favourites too. the Kai Lan was also cooked well. I can't believe this place has an average of 1.4 stars LOL try their prawn paste chicken if you don't believe me.
