After walking past the shop many times, I was curious to try. The menu and the selections were tempting enough. I had the laksa. The taste was heavy enough, with the right level of heat for me. And I do love spicy food (Indonesian and Thai levels of heat). When I ordered, the staff said they ran out of “ham”, and I asked if they would replace it with something. “Yes, one fishball”, she replied. Come’on, just one fishball?! Anyway, it was a very reasonable bowl of laksa, but it was missing that bit of special touch for a 4/5 star review.

Small stall, tight for space and possibly overrated. The pork ribs for one of the menu items are stored in a plastic container, without a lid, beside the sink, without a heater. You’ve been warned. You might better off at the food court upstairs.

I think they deserve a 5 for being a pretty decent bowl of teochew mee pok. Noodles is al dente, chilli is pretty ok, fishball, her kiaw and meatball is above par. In this area, it's the best u can get.

Regret with my choice. Should order minced pork noodles as usual. Fishcake & meatball a bit too much for me. Good food at reasonable price.

Ordered the signature mee pok + extra $1 hee keow. The mee pok was springy n cooked al dente! Fishballs had delicious bite n bouncy. I had better hee keow though. The skin is soft like wanton’s unlike the usual skin from fish mash. Overall the chilli sauce mix lifted the whole meal to life n good control on the mee pok. I’ll drop the hee keow next time though

Arrived at plaza Singapura for late dinner, with most food outlets already closed, discovered an old school looking Teochew fishball noodles eatery. Surprisingly they only accept cash, which is a huge inconvenience and we didn’t expect that from a large shopping mall. Otherwise we ordered their signature fishball noodles set. The noodles were springy and on the thicker side with good texture. Their sauce was savoury with tinge of vinegar, which blended well with their chilli paste (we didn’t opt for tomato sauce). Their fishballs were really soft, which we actually didn’t like as we preferred firmer bouncier type. A really good place to go if you are craving for typical Singapore supper food! Authentic Teochew taste!

Came early in the morning for breakfast on Sunday. Ordered the laksa with yellow noodle and the signature fishball noodle set. Swap the fish cake in the set to Tau Kee and it is nice and crisp! Laksa broth is just nice and the fishball mee pok tastes good. Ladies at the cashier is friendly too. Will come again to try on other noodles!

Classic Singapore Fishball Noodles! Nothing beats a good hearty bowl of minced meat noodles and 85 Redhill delivers exactly that. Noodles blanched for that perfect texture topped with delicious minced meat, meatballs, mushrooms and of course the hints of crispy pork lard! This outlet has a few enough seats and is clean. Good service and the price is on point at $5. Great option if you want to avoid the crowded food court.
