Ah Seng Durian (Ghim Moh Outlet) - 20 Ghim Moh Rd #01-119 to #01-122

Our family has been patronising Ah Seng for many years. We are always assured of high quality durians, at reasonable prices. The family running this business is one of the warmest and efficient ones. Highly recommended!

Bought from Ah Seng Durian for the first time today as my regular supplier had run out of durian. Ordered online MSW (x 2 boxes) & D24 (x 1 box). Collected from Ghim Moh Market at 6pm. Efficient service. Both varieties of durian were fresh, tasty with perfect texture. Will definitely buy again.

Jul 2021. In this second P2HA, there was no dine-in, no travel and wfh, but i had done my fair share of golfing, swimming and jogging, i could indulge in durians in a clear conscience. Ah Seng had been my defacto durian supplier. Ordered 2 boxes of 猫山王 at $45 each and picked up Japanese mangosteen at $10.

Other than the long wait and queue. The durian portion was packed correctly, quality was good, importantly they packed more durian than advertised ! Every box was more than 650g.

Good decent durians conveniently vacuumed packed. Fuss free if you are not into trial and error of picking and tasting like good old days ?.

First time trying Ah Seng because have been searching high and low for D13. Didn't know it was so popular even the collection queue was so long. Waited for about 30 mins before it was my turn. Queuing and collection was quite systematic and hassle free. Can see that they do proper QC and they will show you the bad ones in your order and replace them. Trustworthy folks and will buy from them again.

Bought 3 boxes ($135) on 21/8/2021 night at around 7.30pm when they were closing. Only a handful of boxes left. I opened them on the same night. To my horror, we only managed to eat 3-4 seeds from the 3 boxes. The rest were bland, mushy, not thoroughly ripe, and some even sour. Disappointed, we took pictures and threw the rest away. On 22/8/2021, we immediately sent the pictures to Ah Seng's whatsapp per instructions on their replacement policy. I expected them to apologize and replace them all (i mean, just look at the pictures). However, despite seeing the pictures, the staff still asked how many seeds were bad (as if he couldn't see from the pic, or maybe he didn't bother to look) and if I still kept the durians. During the call, the staff and his team defended that the durians looked good and nice, and they didn't think there was anything wrong. I even needed to spend 20 mins in the call to convince him to replace the durians. He ended up offering "1 box and a bit more" for my 3 boxes. During our collection, we tried to further explain how bad the durians were. The supposed boss, Ah Seng, was playing with his phone, totally uninterested in engaging a dissatisfied customer. Ironically, he was the one who prepared the 3 boxes and told me how bitter and good the durians were. Advice to future customers: 1) Avoid a call with them. Have them reply you on whatsapp so there is proof of their claims. I can't believe they said in the call that the durians looked good. 2) Keep the bad durians and bring them back and insist for a 1-to-1 replacement as advertised in their replacement policy. They expect customers to keep these trashy durians to prove that they are bad, as if they would try them a night of keeping them. 3) For replacement, please head over at 6pm where there is a crowd. In the presence of customers, I believe it will motivate them to do a better job at their service recovery. We went when they were closing. I have had good durians from Ah Seng, like many of you. I was also alright with getting bland/not thoroughly ripe/mushy/sour durians, but at least have the decency to offer a 1-to-1 replacement as per your replacement policy. It makes me wonder what's the point of the replacement policy. What disappointed and upset me the most was not their durians, but their ethics.

Excellent Maoshan Wang (lit. Cat Hill King) durians to be had here – creamy, sweet, with aromatic durian pungence – in the heart of the Ghim Moh wet market. The vendor wielding the knife made lightning quick cuts on the durian to find its natural segmentation line, then effortlessly cracked it open and deseeded it for packaging. An amazing virtuosic feat to behold. Every pulpy seed from the durian was tasty and good. The morning's stock consisted of the shipment from Johore Bahru, another from Pahang was expected to arrive that afternoon.
