★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rarely do I get to sink my teeth into these yummies simply because the queues are just too long. Today however, we got lucky - there was no queue! ? I must say it certainly lives up to its reputation - the flavours are well balanced and the texture was great; plus the wok hei was unmistakable! No wonder the queue is always sooo long. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite carrot cake stall, after so many years, even i moved house, i still miss the taste and come back frequent to eat the white fried carrot cake. The stall fried white and black carrot cake, but i prefer the white and i think it is their famous one. It is an enjoyment to see how she fried if you queue right infront when she she start a new set. If u come in the morning prepare to queue for 15 to 30 min. Come around 1 to 2pm will be shorter. After that it may close due to carrot cake finish. They make their own carrot cake that why it taste so good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Carrot Cake / Chye Tow Kueh (SGD $3) @ Ghim Moh Carrot Cake.
.
The queue at this popular stall starts at 6am, and only gets longer throughout the morning, until they sell out.
.
Still, the family-run stall operates with quick efficiency in clearing the queue, moving at a crisp pace in serving up plate after plate of their delicious carrot cake, moist and soft and eggy without being overly greasy.
.
I prefer the black version, a tossed messy pile where every bite has a bit of carrot cake, a bit of egg, and a lot of smoky sweet savoury salty eggy flavour. The white version is lovely, stacked in pancake squares that carry aromatic smoky savoury salty sweet eggy notes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This stall’s carrot cake/kueh are made and steamed in house. The kueh may not be the silky smooth but boy was the texture creamy soft. The white version ($3) is loaded with eggs, soft centre with crispy edges and not too greasy.
The chili is mild and bring a nice aroma to the dish. Delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice carrot cake. Both the black and white was well made. The black was just right in sweetness and the texture was amazing. The white was also crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Overall, the flavour really jumps out with every bite taken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long long queue but moves fast. Parents fry the carrot cake and Son takes orders. Runs liked a well oiled machine. Both the white and Black versions are yummy. They are plentiful with eggs and chye poh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This carrot cake stall has been operating for many years. There was a period of time where they relocated to Redhill food center. Their carrot cake comes in 3 sizes $3/$4/$5 and you can chose the white or black version. I like the way they evenly fry the carrot cake. Together with the ample amount of eggs, this makes the carrot cake crispy on the outside. The carrot cake is self made on the spot with a huge steamer and this is why the texture is so soft, unlike factory made ones. Do not be daunted by the long queue. Usually they can be cleared in 20mins unless there is a bulk order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ White carrot cake was generous in portion for $3, with ample amount of eggs. Found it too dry and a bit lacking in flavours though. The branch at ABC market is much better. E-payment available.
