Mr Lye is a very dedicated, approachable and passionate teacher who sparks my interest in Chemistry. His lessons are easy to understand and very engaging, making Chem a fun subject to learn. Not only are his explanations very clear and concise, the quality materials he provides are also very useful for tackling challenging questions. I would definitely recommend others to come for his classes!

Chemistry has always been my weakest subject even back in secondary school. Starting off with a weak foundation in JC meant that my Chemistry grades always remained stagnant at ‘E’ , ‘S’ or ‘U’ for internal papers. Upon making my decision to join Ahive at the beginning of my J2 year, I noticed that Mr Lye’s lessons have been nothing short of enriching, allowing me to grasp complex concepts with little effort. Coupled with concise notes and great answering techniques, I started to see a steady improvement in my results with each exam I take, leading up to a final grade of ‘B’ for the A Levels. I highly recommend Ahive to people who are looking for miraculous changes in their results in a short period of time.

Before I joined Ahive Academy(AA), my chemistry and math were only getting mostly Us and a couple Ss. When I first joined AA, first impressions were that the notes are well organized and very useful. The teachers, Mr Lye and Ms Soh are not only excellent in their teaching expertise but are very friendly, approachable and always willing to provide help whenever needed. I've recently gotten back my A levels results and I'm glad to say that AA has really helped me improve a lot from a U/S to a B for both Chem and Math. I definitely recommend AA to anyone who needs good tuition.

Before I joined Ahive for chemistry I was getting C6 and just barely passing, getting 50% and scraping through. I didn’t know much about chemistry and didn’t have an interest in it since I wasn’t good at it. However, I managed to score A1 for chemistry O levels. After joining, I started to improve my grade from a C6 to an occasional A2 and mostly B3. The thing I found most helpful was the summary notes which the teacher gave out which was either 1 or 2 pages, showing everything that you needed to know. It helps both mentally and physically. When you feel very stressed, you can just take it out and read it and since it doesn’t look like so much content like other school notes, it is often calming before an exam. It also helps when you forget one small concept and you can just flip through to look very quickly and move on. I would definitely recommend Mr Lye and Ahive to others. It not only helped in my grades but gave me a passion for chemistry. He didn’t rush us for homework too much which helped when you had a busy schedule and was very understanding.

I was failing my chemistry tests for the whole of Secondary 3 but decided to join this tuition centre and my grades had improved significantly from D7/C6 to A1/A2 and had even score A1 for Chemistry in my O levels. Basically didn’t know what i didn’t know but the tuition lessons helped to clear up many misconceptions with revision of past topics as well as help me understand new topics. The tuition centre gives summary sheet for every topic, making it easy to revise. Lessons helped me understand the concepts and i would not need to spend alot of time revising for chemistry before going for my exams. Teacher Lye gives alot of freedom and does not expect us to rush to complete homework and would help whenever he can. Would definitely recommend this tuition centre!

1) Before AA’s help, i was struggling with h2 chemistry and scoring an E grade frequently. i knew i was struggling most of the time but i don’t know or at least i can’t figure out how to improve on the subject 2) However after joining AA tuition and meeting Mr Lye i have managed to cope with the subject much better having a consistent and progressive improvement in my grades till i achieved a B for my a levels eventually. AA teaching style is highly suitable to my learning habits, through summarising content and tackling questions subsequently by myself with help when needed, this allowed me to practice the concepts i was taught immediately which proved to be much more effective for me. 3) I would definitely recommend AA to others especially those that are struggling and are unsure where to begin as similar to how Mr Lye has helped me to embark on my path to improvement, i believe he would do the same for others :)

I was really struggling with some H2 Math concepts before joining AA, however, upon joining, my tutor Ms Soh was really patient at teaching us the concepts and in ensuring we got the necessary practice at attempting different question types. Thanks to her efforts, I achieved an A in H2 Math during the A Levels! I am grateful for the great help that I have received from AA as a whole :)

I had a failing grade for my chemistry in secondary 2, my fundamentals were poor and found the subject hard. That was until I attended chemistry tuition lessons from Ahive Academy. Mr Lye my chemistry tutor taught me my basics while still managing to teach me the new chapters in school. The notes provided are really easy to read and easy to organise. After tuition for about a year and a half, i managed to score an A1 for Olevels. I am extremely grateful to Mr Lye for teaching me well and i would definitely recommend his classes to those who need chemistry tuition.
