Ai Lee Tailor - 2 Seah Im Rd

Been to this place for the 3rd time. Service is subpar at best. The owner can be cheery and all but after sales service is pretty bad even when it's his own mistake. Made 2 shirts and a pants and he was hurrying me off as though he didn't want me to check on the spot. When I was home I tried on the shirt and realised the fit wasn't what I wanted. I called and ask about the shirt and he returned with a frustrated tone saying "What do you want now?" in Mandarin. I told him what I wanted exactly before I could even finish my sentence, he interrupted me and said in chinese, "come back after Chinese new year" and hung up the phone. I'm done with this tailor. Dude was extremely rude despite his mistake. Unless you want some budget friendly tailoring at the cost of incorrect fitting, go ahead with this tailor. Otherwise look elsewhere.

Dun even worth a star. After sales service is extremely bad. Sent the coat back for alteration only on the sleeve wrist area, being delayed for 1 week even called to follow up few times. Best part after one week went down for collection when told it was done, the alteration not even done at all with no intention to apology and still showing attitude !!!

The uncle was very rude. Threw the shirt at me when I collected the shirts from him as if I owed him something. Doesn't like to entertain amendments to shirt that he has made basically - has the mentality that all his shirt made are perfect at the first shot and gets very defensive when asked to alter. Bad attitude. Had even asked his helper not to assist me throughout the episode which was rather shocking. Will never go back to his shop again as it was a thoroughly upsetting experience. The other tailors beside are more receptive frankly.

Tailored two sets of suits for my father and father in law for my wedding.. circa 2021 Service - 0/5.. Once you pay your deposit, talking to the old dude (suppose he's the boss) is gonna be a pain in the a***.. either he brushes off your concerns, ignores your questions or makes decisions for you.. told me that my items are ready, I headed down but one pants missing.. Quality - 1/5.. Generally fitting, no issues with my FIL's suit.. BUT my father's pants (checkered fabric) started to have loose threads coming off everywhere during the FIRST WEAR (unwashed) on my wedding day.. my father brought it back to the shop to enquire about this, old uncle boss shrugged off all responsibilities and said that this is the nature of that fabric and accused my father of being too rough with the pants.. told my father he would have to PAY if he were to make another replacement for him.. wow top notch businessman.. You may ask then why did i even choose to go with Ai Lee Tailor when there are other tailors there, its mostly because my father and FIL arrived at the location earlier than me, and the old guy already started chatting and buddying them up.. so please be warned.. don't be fooled and ignore this advice at your own risk..

Ai Lee & Ai Mee are the same shop. therefore equally bad. I tell them the sleeves is too long, the older guy in glasses said it will be shorter after washing. What! it feels like i am wearing my father's shirt they were unhappy even when i was trying out the shirt at the mirror. say why try dont affect his business

Agree with many others. Does not deserve any stars. Can be friendly with all smiles when you walk-in but attitude totally change after money is collected. Things can go wrong and the old man blames me for distracting him when I was telling him my requests. No more chance to distract him since I am not going to do a single business with him anymore. Thanks to him I made a few perfect pants, a suit and some shirts with his neighbours.

Altered a pair of ready made suit. Funny how on the day it self I chose to give in to my laziness and went with this tailor — only realising the loads of negative reviews after paying my deposit. However, they pulled through. The suit was altered to what I expected it to be and they delivered.

Custom tailored shirt and pants were not made to size. Shirt was several sizes too big and pants too tight. It was like they didn't bother with the measurements they took. Had to bring it back to them for alteration of custom made clothes. Their alterations were poorly done as well. Extra fabric wasn't removed. Stitches were not clean/straight. Attitude at the store was pretty bad as well especially for the alteration request, but went through with them since I paid already. Will NOT return for more.
